We are headed down next week and I was wondering from all experts out there which park we should plan on for Saturday 4/3? I know with Easter crowds beginning that everything will be crowded. I have heard in the past that MK is not the place to go on Sat. Any suggestions?

On a saturday I suggest Epcot..MK is generally packed on saturday and with spring breakers there it will be very crowded.

If you're staying onsite and can take advantage of EMH, I would suggest doing EMH at MGM and then hopping to Epcot when the crowds at MGM pick up. That's what we plan to do with our Saturday in June.

If you aren't staying onsite, or don't like getting up early enough for EMH, I'd suggest spending the day at Epcot.

We'll be there next Saturday, April 3rd also. Epcot is normally the best park for a Saturday.

We'll be there that day too! We'll be ag MK though because we only have one day at the parks. (We live in FL though, so it's just short trip for us)

How are the crowds at AK on a Saturday in early Dec?:wave2:
Saturday is supposed to be a great day for AK. We're testing this theory out at the end of May...I'll have to let you know.

I would absolutely, positively, NOT go to MK on a Saturday, EVER.

I didn't check out your link, but I've never heard that Saturday is a good day for MK!

Saturday is when the locals go to MK. Saturday and Monday are the busiest MK days.

I recommend EPCOT.

In early December, a Saturday in AK should be fine.

Here is the explanation that I got from lentesta:

Hi Mike,

Thanks for writing! Lots of folks seem to think that Saturday is a bad day to visit the MK. But the data we've collected don't seem to support this. Our suggestions are based on the data we've collected in the parks over the past few years. I'm not sure what other folks use to make their recommendation, but my guess is that it's something more subjective.

As to why Saturday may be less busy at the Magic Kingdom, there are two popular explanations. One is that Saturday is an EMH day at the Studios, so many Disney resort guests will go there. A corollary to this may be that Disney resort guests may be waiting until Sunday to head to the MK.

A second reason for this may be that Saturday is a travel day for many folks, especially those who drive. Last time I checked, more visitors to WDW drive than fly. That's just a guess.

Hope this helps. We're constantly re-evalutaing the our recommended days to visit each park. If you'd like to e-mail me before your trip, I'll be happy to share our latest research with you. Thanks again for writing!

Len

I wonder if this is a function of the time of year. I have been in May and September when Saturday is the only night that Spectro and FITS were offered. And on those days MK was a mad house. But this time I am going in June when Spectro and Wishes are offered nightly.
To clarify, the info from Len and the Unofficial Guide are for the summer months. So this wouldn't apply to the OP. Sorry for the confusion. But I trust the Unofficial Guide's data which says that Fri and Sat are the best days to visit the MK in the summer.

do you think saturday would be a good day to go either of the water parks.

Thanks brooke

I am planning to avoid the water parks on the weekend. I would expect they would be much busier then.
