Our first park day is 2/24/25, the day after the Princess Half Marathon. Any parks we should be avoiding? Does it not matter?

I’m not sure it matters too much but based on marathon weekend a few weeks ago, Epcot and MK might be the most busy (with runners if they’re still around). Not sure what the general public is doing though. Here’s a crowd calendar that I sometimes follow and it’s usually pretty good at predicting these things.

Epcot was deserted on Monday after MW. Runners sometime do medal monday photos at MK, but it really shouldn't affect your park decision.

I don't think it matters. Runners might go to MK for photos but based on Marathon Weekend it seemed like a lot more people were heading out on Monday.

Thanks for asking this, as it also applies to me. There is an After Hours event at MK that night as well. I know that means my friends and I will get there at 7pm, and probably most other attendees will, too.

Our first park day is also the same day, ultimately I’ve decided to do Epcot that day since it’s the last day of the Arts festival and we haven’t been to it before, we’ve done Epcot plenty of times during flower and garden festival and enjoyed it so figured we go there and try something different. If it’s really busy we’ll make do as we have been to all the parks enough times that if we miss something no big deal.

Medal Monday to me means runners generally go to MK to take photos with their medals. I'm not sure how much anymore this is a thing but I know I've done it a few times(:

I also think MK is generally busier than expected on all Mondays because everyone always assumes it WON'T be busy so they go on that day.

I was in the parks Wednesday - Saturday of Marathon weekend and found them way more crowded than they usually are when I go early May. Using that Undercover Tourist crowd calendar it looks like that weekend the crowds were an 8 vs my usual May weekend (5).

I was gone on Sunday but a coworker went to Magic Kingdom the Monday after the marathon and said it was totally empty and they went on every single ride.
