Which park is it most important to get to by opening time?

But note that these times assume YOU have all ticket media in hand and ready to go. Don't show up 15 minutes early to MK still having to buy tickets.

We went through Disney travel company.
When will we get our park passes? When we check into the hotel, or when we go to the first park? (which in our case is MGM)

If you are staying on property, your tickets will be on your room key, so when you check in to your resort, they will give you your passes then.

We always try to arrive at a park 20-30 minutes in advance. It makes an exciting start to the day to wait with everyone else. The only park that we don't make it a necessity to is Animal Kingdom. There isn't anything there that is a rush to. But MGM we have to get to Rock n Roller Coaster first thing! That's my fave!!! :thumbsup2 And to watch the opening ceremony at MK - that's sooo fun!

Yes, we are staying at ASMovies.

When we check in, they will give us our room key.....
Then will that validate the room key as a pass, or will they give us seperate passes?

thanks!

We usually get to EPCOT the earliest because it has 3 major attractions (MS, TT, Soarin), and thats IT. And plus, they are all in a close proximity to the entrance. So that IMO is the park where you really need to get there early.

Everything will be on one card. It's a plastic credit card. It will be your room key, park tickets, Dinning Plan, and room charging (also on rare occassions Disney transportation proof of Resort)

TGM gets our vote! He had been right on for all off the trips we have used him for!

We were early at MK one Saturday in May, and it was a wonderful experience. We saw the show at the trainstation, and when we were in FantasyLand, we had no line for Peter Pan, for instance. We're all adults (over 50) and got to do everything in MK that we cared to do by 11AM. I couldn't believe it.

Compared to that, going to Epcot early wasn't as advantageous. You got in, then had to wait to get into the area for Soarin. Everyone was in line, and the wait time for Soarin was horrible right at the beginning. You needed the fast pass. In about an hour, the wait time for Soarin was better.

We like going to the Water Parks early to get an umbrella.

NOT doing water parks - just what I consider the main 4
Do you think it's OK to be there (arriving) at opening, or do you really need to be there before opening? I think all of the parks open at 9 a.m. this week, and I was planning on getting there right around that time. I'm trying to give those sometimes-grumpy teens as much sleep as possible each morning!!

Also, I'm planning on giving ourselves between 20-30 minutes to get to each park from our resort (CBR). We'll probably take the bus to the MK, and drive to the other 3. So, if we are getting in our car or standing at the bus stop each morning at 8:30 a.m., should we be OK?

PS: Don't think ANYONE is up to any EMH. Did I mention my kids are teenagers?

So just one card?

When you get fastpasses, do you put the card in 4 time for 4 passes?

thanks

Like some of the other posters here we have always gone to each park early at least one morning to ride all our favorites without lines then do shows etc. That way if we get to ride our favorites again later in the day again using fastpasses it's a bonus. Sometimes it's just me that gets up early and rides the thrill rides or goes to take pictures (as someone said earlier) or just to shop without slowing the family down.

The first time we followed this strategy (1990) I was a bit disappointed because I had concentrated all my fun into a few short hours because I'm a big ride person but now I'm used to touring the parks this way and I really like this. Many times we ride early, eat lunch somewhere at a hotel and then shop or go rest at our hotel; going out later for dinner and back to a park.
