which park is better??

We will be in the orlando area for only one day, we wanted to go to universal, which park is better???? My children are ages 17, 11 and 9. my hubby is not a ride person, but will do the "family type" rides and of course any kind or show is good for him.....which park should we visit???

any opinions would be helpful

universal studios is more family friendly rides , and shows , have fun, btw your kids will want to go to IOA its more thrill rides , sugesting a 2park ticket for the best of both worlds

I agree, the kids are the perfect age for Islands of Adventure and will want to check out Harry Potter. But Universal Studios sounds like more of your hubby's bag so a 1-day, 2-park hopper is in order.

I was there for 7 days and depending on the day, I craved a different park. Sometimes I wanted to be in IOA more, and others I wanted to be in US more.

Overall, for just one day, I think I'd choose US.

I sound like your husband. I like to ride not so thrill rides and i love shows so US would be best for hubby. But i also have a 18 year old and he would rather be at IOA. So, like the rest i would go with the 1 day 2park ticket. and while hubby and the kids that don't like the thrill rides are doing the shows then the older kids can go to IOA for the thrill rides.
