Which park do you think is the best to visit in the rain? Our first 2 days, they are calling for rain:sad1: Other than fishing at the fort and drinking in the RV, I'll also need to entertain the kids at some point, and may even have to take the kids to the parks in the rain...any suggestions?

I like MK and Epcot best on rainy days; although, a little rain should not keep you from going to any of the parks. We have rain jackets and pants plus shoes that can take the rain. I've found the rainy days (as long as they are not monsoons) to be some of the best for visiting the parks. It keeps the less than enthusiastic people away. I've seen grownups at MK jumping in puddles!

The best advice I can give is to abandon any reservations about how you look and feel when sopping wet. When we were there in May, it poured on us quite a bit, but we resolved ourselves to just have a good time and not worry about it. Like was said before, the parks thin out quickly and the true Dis'ers get to have more fun.

ALWAYS carry rain ponchos or umbrellas and be flexible.

On my last trip with 3 DS, the days I took the umbrellas - didn't rain. Of course, the day I didn't carry them... But, the rain showers are short and it does cool it down a bit in the summer.

I agree that the best parks are MK and Epcot, and don't forget DHS. We ducked into Mexico and spent our time looking at the stalls and riding the Gran Fiesta tour (boat ride). At MK, most wait line are indoors such as Pirates or Buzz Lightyear.

During the YOMD, DS 14 and I dodged the rain by going into the Magic of Animation. Dream team was there and we received the dream Fast Pass!

Even in the rain, it's always a magical day at WDW!! :wizard:

We usually go to the fort in July and of course it would rain in the afternoon which was no biggie since everybody would leave the parks and we had most of the attractions to ourselves. This past year we went in May- which was the time we used to go about 15 yrs ago, before kids and when kids were little, and the weather as I remember it was great. Needless to say, May 09 was a soaker and now kids do not want to go back in May again and we are back to making ressies for the summer months!!

We usually do any of the parks except for Epcot if possible because the attractions in Epcot seem to be larger and thus further distance between each, while it seems to me that the other parks have lots more of little shops, rides, stores, etc., in between making us not be out in the open as much (of course this could just be my imagination:)

take ponchos and go to the park you want. the rain just shouldn't stop you. it is probably more fun and interesting to go on rides soaked. lol

Dont know when you are going, BUT, If its nice and warm then I like AK in the rain. If its warm I kinda like walk'n in the rain at AK, bright'ns up the foilage and a lot of the animals come out in the rain too :thumbsup2
Otherwise the other 3 parks are the same to me.

and by the way, I just cant see how you could EVER get enough fish'n time in.

well, okay, MAYBE with kids I can see.
