Because we are staying at the Dolphin, then moving to the Poly on Jan 2nd, it is either EPCOT or DIsney-MGM Studios.

What do you guys recommend and why?

Bump....I'd like to know also...We'll be at the dolphin 12/27 - 1/1... My sister and I and the 5 kids (ages 8-15). We're all so excited, my sisters step daughter (age 10) has never been to the "world". Her 2 boys (age 13, 15) have been there once, 3 years ago and my 2 (age 8, 10) are old pros...this is their 5th trip.

Our plans are to head back to NY early on 1/1 so we want some early evening fun for New Years!:jester:

Your comparison was to be between either Epcot or MGM, right?

First and foremost, the fireworks at Epcot are unbelievably great. And, since Epcot can handle a larger crowd, and it will be crowded everywhere, I would go to Epcot. One year transfers between parks were restricted after a certain hour, I believe 6pm if memory serves. I recommend around 11 pm going to the American pavilion at Epcot. It will also be crowded, but you can get a seat, rest awhile and then watch the fireworks.

I think Epcot is recommended by many people due to its larger size, but I'm hoping for the Studios to have Sorcery in the Sky--I've never seen that.

I would probably go with Epcot unless the entertainment at MGM were someone I really wanted to see. This info doesn't usually come out until December.
