Which park for afternoon arrival?

I would not make location of the resort a high priority; getting to any of the parks is not difficult. As others have posted, whether the you have park hoppers or not and the hours that the parks close have bigger impacts. How much you desire Tier 1 fastpasses for any specific park may come into play but I'd work around that (e.g. I wouldn't visit EPCOT two different days just to get a Test Track FP and a Frozen Ever After FP unless I had park hoppers; I don't need two full days of EPCOT.)

Without park hoppers, I would pick Magic Kingdom unless it closes early for a party.

With park hoppers, I'd lean towards Magic Kingdom if it does not close early but would consider other parks as well depending on their closing times and expect to visit the MK on more than one of the following four days.

My vote is where ever you can get fast passes for the rides you want to do. We have been doing Animal Kingdom in the afternoon/evening since Pandora opened because I have found it is easier to get evening fp's for Avatar and we enjoy Everest at night as well.

If you want to do a park, I would do Mk due to location.
Most of the time, we do DS and relax around the resort on arrival day.

My family and I always start in Magic Kingdom. I can't imagine starting at another park.
I would go there, but be sure to go again another day.
If Epcot, or another park is open later, I'd go there.

Thanks all!!
It looks like Epcot is open late on our arrival day. So maybe leaning towards Epcot.
