I'm going down to Universal for a conference and I will be staying at the HRH. I will only have one day to go to a park. Which one is better? I love all kinds of rides, that is where I'm having the trouble choosing. Any suggestions? How much is a ticket for one day?

Thanks,
Michael :worship:

you can save a few dollars by buying them online. a 1 day 1 park ticket is $59.75. a 2 day 2 park ticket is $99.95, and you could choose the non-expiring second day and keep the ticket. if you're staying at the hard rock, you have access to the FOTL, so you could technically see the majority of both parks in one day.

FOTL= Front of the Line access...available to all on-site hotel guests

I think the best park is Islands of Adventure, plus you have an advantage with your room key (from the Hard Rock). With that key take it with you to the park & you'll be able to skip the long lines for the rides. Have fun!!!!

What is FOTL?

universal parks have an express line, which is like the fastpass line at WDW. except now only resort guests or people paying extra for it can utilize. you'll be able to walk into any express line with your room key and wait usually well less than 15 minutes for any ride or attraction. since you already have that staying at the hard rock, I'd drop the extra $30.00 and get a taste of both parks.

So are the crowds not very big the first part of March that we could do both parks? Is there just one that is better than the other?

Thanks!

i tell my friends to start at universal studios side.

its where the basic movie attractions first started.

the designs of the buildings and sections of that park are marvelous. also, its home to some of the super "ride the movie rides" type of atmosphere.

i adore IOA as i love the coasters and seuss land and water rides.
for a first timer, i would suggest uo side unless you are a thrill seeker and love the daring coasters.

really, you can't lose either way. they are both delightful.

it is kind of like saying which of your children you love the most........

If you can do them both, as they are side by side you can walk easily from one to the other - if I had to pick one then it would be US.
