which park 1st?

We (2A,3C-12,9,4) will be visiting US and IOA on Sunday, Sept 25th. Any suggestions which park to go to first. They both open and close at the same time. We only have the one day to do both. Any help or suggestions would be very helpful. Thanks.

I think it will be so slow during that time that you don't really need a plan. Just look at the maps and see what interests you the most and do that first. I prefer to go to IOA first over Universal because there is more there that interests me and my family.

I agree, hit the park first that interests you the most. We're just the opposite of momof3disneyholics, we enjoy the Universal park much more than IOA even though you can't beat Spiderman in IOA. If it were crowded it would be difficult but it shouldn't be too bad during that time.

I agree it will probably be slow that day. But I still think you need to get there first and do a bit of planning.

I'd do IOA first if your family is in to coasters. DD and Hulk can get some big lines even in the slowest times, so I'd hit them first. Then I'd hit the water rides (JPRA, Dudley, and Pluto) and Spiderman.

That will give you the afternoon for US.

Thanks for the responses. Just found out we may have to go on Saturday instead of Sunday. I think the kids would enjoy the coasters the most. Thanks again.

Go to IOA first.
Set up meeting times, and split up. The older kids can tour the park on their own if you let them, or the husband goes with them. That leaves you with the 4 year old who will spend a bunch of time in the play ground areas.
In the morning, the park will not be crowded in Sept, but in the afternoon, more people will show up.
