Which parade is your favorite?

Unfortunately, the parades seem to fall around nap time for us. If you could only see one parade, which one would it be? I am sure I could wake the kids and DH up early from their nap one day, but not every day if we want the vacation to be enjoyable. Which parade is a must see?!?

Our favorite parade is a night parade - Spectromagic in the MK. When my DDs were young and still napping, we never saw the afternoon parades. I either let them sleep or enjoyed the pool at that time of day. They didn't seem to mind missing the parade. We had lots of great park time in the AM and evening.

I agree it is very hard to see those mid afternoon parades...it's either nap time, or time to park hopping. My least favorite parade is the MK daytime parade. My favorite parade is Spectomagic by far! Animal Kingdom and MGM parades are also very good and in my opinion much better than the MK parade in the day.

My favorite is MSEP (but, I have not seen it since 1999), but I willl settle for Spectro in the meantime.

Spectromagic is my favorite. I also really enjoyed the Stars and Motorcars parade at MGM on my recent trip

but if you are looking at the day parades - then MGM or MK - I don't really like the AK one -

isn't the MGM one at 5:30 - seems like you could easily fit that in without messing up a nap

So I would go to that one day and then wake them up early for MK - although my kids can sleep in the stroller - is this a possibility with you? mine usually sleep while we wait for the parade and then they are good to go (mine DD also gave up napping at 2)

My favorite is the Stars & Motorcars Parade at MGM. It's just so cool to see SO very many characters, plus we've had some good interaction as well. I agree that sometimes it's hard to get to the parades with trying to break mid-day as well. This parade is often later in the day (5ish) so maybe you could get back for that. Have fun!

Spectromagic is my favorite, but if its an afternoon parade you want, I'd go to AK or MGM. We've always had great interaction at both of those.

For me personally it is no contest...Spectromagic! Let them nap and stay up late if you can! It's amazing!

Another vote for Spectromagic. To me, every since I was a mere 10 year old and first saw it in 1993 (I believe that was running then; if not, I saw it in 1996 for the first time), that parade has always been pure magic (pardon the pun) to me. I still love it, even though I'm 22 now. Can't wait until I get to see it again when I go in June!

Thanks for the great replies! It sounds like Spectro is winning hands down. We are going to be at Disney from a Saturday to a Thursday this November. With Saturday being a travel day I didn't think we would hit the parks that day. I wasn't sure if they would have Spectro running Sunday thru Thursday that late in the fall. I'll keep my fingers crossed! I am going to go check AllEarsNet.com now to see if I can learn more about the MGM parade. A 5 o'clock parade would work great! Thanks so much!

We don't have kids, but our favorite daytime parades are MK and AK. MGM probably has more characters, though. We love the theming of the MK parade, but the AK parade is cute and more close-up since the streets are narrower. You and your kids would love Spectromagic, though, if it runs during the nights when you are there.
