With the advent of Expedition Everest, what order do you recommend doing the rides at AK first thing in the morning? Thanks!

That's easy.
This is the ONLY way to do this.
It is THE perfect plan!

1. EE

2. Safari

3. ITtbaB

4. FotLK

5. Dinosaur

6. Kali

No wait.
That should be...

1. Safari

2. EE

3. Dinosaur

4. FotLK

5. ITtbaB

6. Kali

No that's not it.
Here's the perfect plan:

1. Dinosaur

2. EE

3. Safari

4. Kali

5. ITtbaB

6. FotLK

Or...

Oh, rats!
I thought I had it.

It should go like this 1) grap fast pass for EE. 2)h\Head over to Dinosaur ride that...3)by now should be getting cloe to ride EE once that is done head over and get your fast pass to Safari.....now go do something else till it's time for your safari. If you get there for opening and the line for EE is short grap a fast pass ride EE then go back when it's time on your fast pass and ride again. Then grap fast pass for safari...hope you get the idea...The 2 major attractions are EE & Safari so utilize fast pass!!

Fast Pass either the safari ride or EE, then get in one like and ride, which ever one you have a fast pass for it should be time to ride and then you will be down an ready for the rest of the park, and you can fast pass again by that time... have fun.

i would grab fp for ee then go on the safari as the animals are out and about more in the morning

Thanks for the responses - keep 'em coming! Robo, you made me laugh out loud with your suggestions! :rotfl:

Everyone's suggestions are great. I just wanted to add that if there is another smaller attraction that is a must see, schedule that early too. I am not an overly sensitive person, but I found myself allergic to AK. I literally had to run out of there, eyes watering, skin itching and nose running! A CM we talked to said it was quite common.

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Love the suggestions...everyone go get the fp for EE first thing in the morning.....if everyone does this...I should be able to walk right on!! :cool1:

Seriously, I can see using the fp with a plan will really help with the new ride.

OK - so it seems like a good idea to get the FP for EE and then go to either Dinosaur or the Safari. I think I have one vote for each. Can any others weigh in on which plan sounds better?

SpaceOddity, are you saying to ride EE twice (once when you arrive if line isn't too long) and then come back with the FP? If we get there at opening, isn't it likely that there will NOT be a long line by then? Should we just plan on that scenario?

Thanks everybody - I appreciate the advice!

The POINT of my (silly) post is that THERE IS NO PERFECT PLAN.

NO ONE can predict what any varied group of guests will ACTUALLY DO on any given date. NO ONE.

So, just make any plan you want, with EE, Safari, and Dionosaur (no order is implied) as the first ride (and/or FastPass pick-up) of the day... and then proceed on to the next one(s).

Don't overthink this.
Because the CROWDS (being "crowds") will just "do whatever" in spite of what YOUR plans might be.

Wing it. Have FUN!

EE wasn't open when we were there last. Last time we headed to Safari first, so the line wouldn't be as long and because more animals out in the morning. But now with EE,I would get a FP for one of the two and ride the other first.I've never had an issue of getting onto Dinosaur in a timely and reseasonable manner, so I don't even put that first on my list anymore. I am sure next trip we will probably attempt EE first, then Safari.

I guess it's hard to make predictions since EE is not open yet but what about riding it during the parade ? I think it would be the same thing of Space Mountain which is told being less crowded during MK parade...

I disagree completely.....

The folks at Unofficial Guide unveiled today on the WDW Today podcast a new touring plan for the AK with EE that is brilliant -- it goes against the convential wisdom of doing KS or EE first and requires very little (if any)backtracking. It is posted on the WDW Today show notes for today's podcast. While nothing is ever completely perfect, the UOG pretty scientifically tried MANY plans and variations and this one by far turned out to be the most efficient. Their use of algorithms and control groups do a pretty great job of prediciting crowd movement and working against it.

Though I hate to contradict the one who knows all...

88 Keys-
Would you be able to post the info from UOG for those of us who don't have an I-Pod (or whose kids won't share them?!)? If it's not too much trouble, I'm sure many of us would love to hear their plan....

Well, sure. There's always THAT.

:rotfl:

I'm with that other poster - -

sleep in, arrive around noon, leisurly stroll over to a Jungle trail... dont make a plan....

That leaves the park open for ME!! muwahahahahahahaha :lmao:

All kidding aside, do note what is best for your family, may not be what others want - for example...

our family are not thrill seekers, so EE is not enticing here (OK< I'll figure out a way to ride it, but it'll be alone!!) Dinosaur, same thing, to "jerky, bumpy" for these oooolllle bones...

so I wonder if a lot feel the same way, making Safari still a long wait, with a loong FP line still???

Only time will tell!!

PS - I wonder if this will be like Soarin FP? I know many hint at arriving past the FP time and are still able to ride an attraction, I know for our family last Oct at Soarin we were turned away with an "expired" FP...

Absolutely! Although, do keep in mind that even without an Ipod or MP3, you can still listen to podcasts on your computer for free. Also, even if you can't do that, web sites for podcasts often summarize their material so you can read it. Here is the link.....

Give WDWToday a try -- it is a great podcast 3 times a week in 20 minute bite-sized chunks. (There are other great ones like MouseTunes, Inside the Magic, Parkhopper Podcast and supposedly one called the Meandering Mouse, though I have not checked it out)
