I voted for Earthquake cause it's an actual ride and a classic at Universal,Twister is more an attraction and not a ride and has a boring pre-show,so does Earthquake. But IMO both are pretty good attractions!
I chose Twister for this very reason. I like both but rarely do Earthquake because of the pre-show. I will go on Earthquake if I'm with someone who has never experienced it but otherwise I don't fool with it.
Actually..since I've been to HHN the past couple of years, whenever I think of Earthquake I think of Deadtropolis...the house from 2004 that was in the Earthquake building!
i think the preshow of Earthquake is more interesting than Twisters'.
Earthquake is showing how they do different seasons on film. Move to next room to movie clips and models. Move to next room to "sub" and "guy falling". Move to next room to subway.
A lot more than Twisters---> preshow talk on screens with the 2 stars. Move thru the twisted house. More commentary from stars. Stand for twister show. Done.
IMHO, Earthquake IS a longer preshow, but there's more time to stall for because of the "subway finale". Makes it more worth it....
but, that's why i started the poll because we usually skip both, but did both this time....just wondered what one everyone preferred and reasoning....which, are interesting.
I used to not care for Twister, but after the 2004/2005 hurricane seasons (in which our area got 2 direct hits plus 2 other storms), I see Twister completely different. Earthquake is just one of those rides that I don't really care if I get to see or not. Twister has become a must see for my family.
I voted Earthquake. Do not like Twister at all. Probably because my area was devastated by the big one that destroyed so much of Oklahoma on my birthday in 1999.
Sorry to hear those who suffered thru a real twister; even in western pa we get them come thru...had the windows on one side of my house knocked out by a 'micro-burst' several years ago when i was on vacation
Back on track - i am amazed by Twister, think it's very and scary. Nice to get in the front row & get cooled off too.
I did get drafted once for audience participation in Earthquake - was so nervous, it was my 1st time & didn't know what was going to happen. Special effects very good too, more dramatic.
It is nice to have both of these less vigorous, yet interesting attactions.
I cannot tell a lie...Twister sucks, in my opinion . They are both on my least favorite list, but we still do them cause their UNIVERSAL! They both take way to long i think, but Earthquake has my vote
