Hi

This is my first post but I have been looking aound for a while.

My family is going back to Disney after almost a decade and although we sort of remember the area, we are having trouble picking a hotel. Somehow we ended up with 2 hotel choices: Caribe Royale and Courtyard Marriott at Marriott Village.
I have no idea which one to choose. I have looked over at tripadvisor. I still can't pick. Anyone have experiences with either? Does anyone know how easy it is to request and actually get a balcony room at the Marriott?

Are there any restaurants, etc. in walking distance with either hotel?

Thanks!

both have restuarants in walking distance - although Caribe Royale is across a very busy street....

which can you get the best deal on?

both are not too far.

CR is along 536 which becomes Epcot Center Drive

Marriott is close to 535.

Marriott is closer to I4 and dd.

CR is closer to WDW property line.

the restuarant for CR is Ponderosa.

for Marriott is Golden Corral

We recently stayed at the Caribe for 5 nights with a family of five. It was very nice. My kids loved the pool----especially the waterslide which my son must have used about 100 times per day. The onsite restaurants were expensive but everything else is easily accessible around the resort. Easy access to Sea World and Disney too. The only negative may have been that we were on a non-smoking floor and our room smelled smokey. But overall it was very nice. Beautiful lobby too---I know that doesn't mean much tho.
