Would you go in Oct 2012 for 10 days in a moderate or Oct 2013 and stay 10 day Deluxe? We are booked for a mod this Oct, but now that I'm 41 days out from my 45 day mark, am considering the later trip. We have only stayed Deluxe before and there are 5 of us. Our reservations are currently at POR.

I couldn't imagine planning and being so close to a trip this year, and then putting it off for an entire year, but that's just me! If you are that concerned, could you take a few days off your trip this year and upgrade to a deluxe this year? just a thought...

I agree with the previous poster - being 45 days away, you should be realy excitedpixiedust:! I would go now, and hope that in another year I could plan another trip!!! Besides, POR has been recently refurbished, so it will be new now!

No question for me, if I could do it I would go this year. Like PP said, you could take a few days off and go deluxe this year. But I would keep POR and stay the full 10 days.

I need to stop second guessing myself. This is one of the reasons I haven't even told the kids about the upcoming trip! I want it to be a surprise, but also in case I changed my mind about dates. My dh keeps reminding me that the kids are only young once and why wait! :0)

OMG!!! Go this year!!!! You can't put off a trip for a whole year!!!!! :scared1:

I agree.:) After all the planning and such (ADRs, flights, room reservation) I would just stick with it. I would be very upset if I had put so much time planning and getting ready for a trip to the world and then I found out I would have to wait another whole year.:confused3 I have never stayed at POR but it looks so nice and gets such great reviews. Maybe book a shorter trip for next October if you can?

Whatever you decide I hope you have a great trip to the World! :goodvibes

I would definitely go this year. I find that a recently refurbished resort is more important than moderate or deluxe. And POR is recently refurbished.

Also, DH is right, every year the children get older and you can only make certain memories while they are young for a short time.

Plus, you never know what might happen over the course of a year that would cause you to postpone your trip again (or forever).

I believe you will love POR! Go, have fun! (And seriously think about planning a future trip, too!).

I have to agree with ALL of the other posters. GO!

We went for our first trip last November and we stayed at WL. It was amazing. We loved it so much we just booked another trip for this November. BUT, it wasn't in the budget to stay in a deluxe again this year, so we researched resorts and found that the moderates are not a huge drop in style but are a HUGE drop in price. The big difference is the outside doorways compared to inside ones at the deluxes.

We are currently booked at the POR - Royal Rooms and're do excited. I can't imagine waiting another year so we could afford the deluxe.

I agree. You should go this year. If you can go next year as well, great! After all the planning you have put in, I can't imagine dragging it out another year.

I prefer the deluxes. However, I wouldn't skip a year just to upgrade to the deluxe. I would opt for a moderate this year if it means I get to go sooner.

Thank you all for helping me come to my senses!!!lol! I absolutely love Disney, but I always start to over analyze things, wondering it will be better if we do this or that! Sometimes I just need to stop thinking!!!:teacher:;)
