Which one of these would you eliminate? My son LOVES LOVES LOVES Mickey Mouse and my daughter likes the princesses. We only need 7 meals and I have narrowed it down to 8.

Donald's Safari Breakfast
Cape May Cafe
Chef Mickey's Buffet
1900 Park Fare
Hollywood & Vine
'Ohana
Akershus Royal Banquet Hall
Garden Grove

Maybe Hollywood and Vine? I say this because the food always gets bad reviews here.

How about eliminating donalds. It is not a bad breakfast but I am thinking that the other ones would suit the kiddos......
Hope you have a great time

Either Donalds or Hollywood & Vine. We weren't impressed with either of these.

H&V if it is dinner..if not CM if it is dinner

Drop H&V, unless you have preschoolers that have to see those characters. H&V is the only Disney restaurant that I will never go back to.

I do have preschoolers. They are 5 & 2. Although if I can see the Einsteins somewhere else...

Is their food really nasty?

We ate at H&V and I didn't think it was as terrible as other have made it out to be. We did the Play and Dine with chara and my kids liked it. They have the characters as well as dancing and activities for the kids! The food for lunch is similar to dinner (minus the carved meats)..they have a corn thing that is to die for!!! (corncake and creamed corn...yummy)

Garden Grove or Hollywood and Vine.

Hollywood and Vine was a bad experience for us. Garden Grove just doesn't sound like anything special compared to the other character meals.

Are you doing the dining plan? I'm not sure Garden Grove participates.

I like H & V and the corn casserole is yummy. Hubby liked the meal there....

It really depends on which characters your kids would like to see....

I would dump H & V....We went with our preschoolers and we (the entire family) were not impressed...The food was not terrible but the selection was very small...The characters confused my kids because they are very big and their heads are really big...They do not look like the characters on the shows at all because they are just too big...My four year old (at the time) would not take one picture with any of the characters and hid most of the time...He loves character meals and never hides at the others...The parade was fun and cute but you can get that at the others...

BTW, we really loved the food and the characters at Donald's....

And Garden Grove may not be part of the dining plan but we always have to pay for one or two meals OOP with the basic plan...I do not know if that would be your situation, but we always find that we need to add a few meals to our trip OOP.

Donald's is much better since it has moved to Tusker House. We ate there in Dec. and were pleased with the food. Also, they had cheese blintzes which I love. 1900 Park Fair used to have them, but no longer.
I guess I would remove H&V. I've not eaten at 'Ohana or Garden Grove, so I have no opinion of them. H&V was OK the 2 times we ate there. We ate there because it was a choice for the Fantasmic package.

What is Garden Grove...or are you talking about Garden Grill? If you are talking about Garden Grill then I haven't eaten there so can't comment on that BUT I would personally drop H&V. It is so loud for breakfast and the food is just okay, nothing special. If you have kids that just have to see those characters then you may want to keep it though, but that would be the only reason IMO.

What is Garden Grove...

It is formerly known as Gulliver’s Grill.

Does anyone know where I can find a list of the restaurants that are participating in the Meal Plan? We have 7 days worth of meals.

And y'all are so helpful! Thank you!:cheer2:

Personally, if you have playhouse disney fans, I'd keep H & V. This was one of my kids favourites. They were 5 and 3 at the time. Where as with most of the meals, the kids had to sit at the table and wait for the characters, here they were able to get up and dance with the characters. This was there favourite part.

HOLLYWOOD AND VINE....

yes the little einsteins are cute, but not worth a yucky meal......

Donald's is good, don't eliminate that one....It is very nice to see as well.
