So, here is our plan for TS meals. We only have 6 credits, so I need to delete one. We are on the dining plan, and have a 6 and a 3 year old. Please give your opinon on which one to cancel. My husband is leaning towards cancelling the 50's PTC, because of less than stellar reviews, and because we have a similarly themed restaurant locally.
Thanks!
Friday:Arrival: Teppan Edo for dinner
Saturday:Akershus breakfast, dinner at Coral Reef
Sunday:Boma
Monday:CRT (paying out of pocket), dinner at Sanaa
Tuesday:?50's prime time for lunch, dinner at T-Rex (out of pocket)
Wednesday:Breakfast at Crystal Palace
Thursday:Breakfast at Ohana's, departure day
Thanks again!

While we love 50's, you have already chosen a great selection. If you have a similarly themed restaurant at home, i'd go with that.

Have a great trip!

Instead of canceling an ADR, I would either pay for 50's lunch, CP or 'Ohana breakfast OOP. You really won't get any value for your TS credit using it on any of those 3 meals. 50's lunch will probably be least expensive to pay for OOP. I'm just one of those people that feels if you booked something, there is a reason for it.

You also need to learn to take peoples reviews with a grain of salt. We love 50's PTC and I have gone on just about every trip since it's been open. I also don't like some of the restaurants that people here love. You have to make your own opinions in life. You don't know what you could end up missing. (of course this is a general "You" not specifically the OP)

I completely agree with everything that was said here. Instead of dropping a TS meal, just pay OOP for one of the cheaper restaurants. However, I would choose either CP or 'Ohana as your OOP choice since you only pay one set price and you can keep going back for more. You have really great places that you chose for your week, I would not change a thing :goodvibes.

I agree too!:thumbsup2

Maybe it's just me, but I'm counting 8 meals that are not OOP. :confused3 I do agree with what one of the previous posters said. You have to make your own opinions about the restaurants. What some may think is great, you may think is terrible. Case in point......People rave about the Beer Garten. My DH and I went there and will never go back. For me and my family, we really like 50's. We've always had a great meal there with great service.

I got 8 too.

I would ditch ohana for breakfast, but thats just me. I don't think Ohanas breakfast is that special.

that said, I would pay OOP for a cheaper meal (CP I think would be the one) and do all of them if you are happy with them.

I would dump Boma if it is dinner...if it is breakfast I would keep it

Second choice would be Teppan Edo only because the price is high for what you get

Aside from the things mentioned already, the one thing you might consider is the number of character meals you have. I think I counted 4 of them. If you really feel you must ditch one of our reservations, you might just think about dropping one of them. I don't really have any recommendations for which one - we've done and enjoyed all of them except CP.

I can't speak to 50's PTC - my DD enjoys Sci-Fi so that's the only TS place we do at DHS.

All of these are good places to go, no reason to ditch any other than you don't want to pay OOP.

If you forced me, I'd probably trim down the two TS day to one or forego Ohana the last night.

This is probably going to be a unique opinion, but if you have Cinderella's Royal Table, I would cancel Akershus.

I agree with Ohthepain completely! DH and I love 50's PTC, but we don't have anything like it near by. People love and hate every restaurant on Disney property. It's just a matter of opinion.

As a pp stated you need to form your own opinions. One person stated ditch Boma if it is dinner. Well that is one of my favorites. If it was me I would not ditch it. Personaly I can't wait to try 50's PTC. I have only gotten good reviews from those I know. They have all said that it is a riot and everyone should try it at least once. It is a must to for my brother and his family. We have been going to Disney forever and somehow we have managed to miss this one. Make a list of your must do's to start with. Then go from there.

Totally agree with the comment of forming your own opinions. Thousands of people visit Disney everyday and everyone has their own taste in whats good, bad, fancy or cheap. We love 50PT the service has always been great and the restaurant itself is very cute. I would leave the list the way it is so you can experience everything for yourself, but if you absolutely have to eliminate something, maybe you might want to take off one of the TS from breakfast. When it comes to breakfast in Disney World they pretty much all taste the same and have pretty much the same items on the menu. Again, some of the places you chose are beautiful and maybe you want to experience the actual restaurant. Almost everyone will tell you to eliminate something different from the list. Someone said to eliminate Teppan Edo and that to us is on the very top on our favorites list. The experience and the service to me is worth it every time, plus it is really good! I really hope you enjoy your vacation! :cool1:

I'm not sure which one I would cancel but I can tell you that for my family that is a LOT of time dining with a 6 and 3 year old. We could never pull that iteneray off. Good luck but you may want to have some flexibility built in to your plan.
