We have decided to stay at one of the Epcot resorts for our next trip and we can't decide! Is anyone closer to MGM and Epcot? What about theming? Any other thoughts? I'm leaning toward BC or YC b/c of the pool..it will be August! Thanks!

The BC/YC are sister hotels. The theme is Cape Cod, Massachusetts. Across the lake is BW and its themed after Alantic City.

BC is themed like a summer beach house. Light colors.

YC is like being at a new england yacht club. Lots of hardwood and nautical theming.

BW is similar to BC. More flower theme while BC has shells.

Both have very easy access to Epcot -- short walk or boat. MGM is a longer walk I recommend taking the boat from either resort.

I recommend the BC/YC. I prefer the YC (guarenteed a full patio/balcony). Not all rooms at the BC have a full balcony.

All three resorts are walking distance so you can use the restaurants and shops. You cannot use SAB if you are at BW.

Good Luck! Enjoy your stay at which ever resort you choose.

Wish I had your problem! You can't go wrong here. The Boardwalk is a little closer to MGM, and YC is a tiny bit closer to Epcot. Either way, you still will probably want to walk to MGM since it's August and you will be doing so much walking in the heat once you get to the park. If you have kids, you might let them look at pictures of the pool from both resorts and let that be your decision. All your choices are great and the location is perfect.

We prefer the Boardwalk, but both the beach club and yacht club are beautiful. The pool at the beach and yacht club is wonderful if you use the pools. We have often gone over to the yacht and beach clubs for different restaurants and were always happy with the restaurants. Everyone has different tastes and you can't miss with any of these resorts, all are beautiful and close to the international gateway to Epcot, and a short boatride away from MGM.

We LOVE the BC! :lovestruc The YC is very nice too (particularly because of a full-balcony guarantee), although I prefer the BC for its more laid-back feel. It's really great to see Art the Greeter in the lobby every morning and it is convenient to have Cape May Cafe so close. The light blue color and lobby atmosphere seem more friendly and family-oriented to me, although opinions vary on this topic. The YC goes for a more upscale look with wood floors, boat models, etc. It's just a matter of which theme suits you best! The Cape May Cafe buffets are amazing and definitely not to be missed, even if you end up choosing the BW! Beaches & Cream is great too, with wonderful sundaes and other assorted foods! If you're lucky, you will see someone order a Kitchen Sink... those things are huge! Stormalong Bay is the best pool in WDW, practically a mini water park! The shipwreck slide, sinking sand, lazy river, whirlpools, etc. make it a big favorite with kids and adults! I believe the BC is the closest resort to the International Gateway, although none of the 3 resorts are more than a few minutes away. The BW is a great resort as well, with some great restaurants and a well-themed Luna Park pool. It is a great resort for those who like to be in the middle of the action, although we found that it was nice to visit, but then have a more quiet resort to retreat to after. Regardless, we still want to stay there some time in the near future because it is a wonderful resort! As you can see, all three resorts are great... it is impossible to go wrong! We enjoy the BC the most because it is where we find the most Disney magic! Whichever you choose, have a great trip and be sure to explore each resort for future vacations! ::yes::

I didn't realize YC was the only one to gaurantee a full patio/balcony...that helps. To be honest BWI has always been my favorite by appearance..we actually owned DVC for about 3 mos there b/4 we had to sell...(we had only stayed at WLV as BW was booked)...we bought a new house so bye-bye DVC.....BUT I've ALWAYS wanted to stay there. I thought since it was August YC/BC would be better b/c of SAB. So now it is between YC and BWI...thanks for the help now it is down to 2!!

You could rent points from a DVC member for VBW or BCV and then you would have best price and location. You would have time to rent either.::yes::

Another vote for the Yacht Club -- the rooms all were renovated within the past year, so everything is fresh and new!
