Okay we have decided since my grandmother is going and John, John-Cole and I have extra hopper passes that we will do a water park with my mom! She is 60 and she and I will probably spend most of our time in the lazy river...so Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon? What is the difference in the lazy rivers? John and John-Cole will have regardless of which one they go to. Opinions??

THANKS!! Thats wonderful. I guess I'm a Community Board Snob cause I never "THINK" to look at the other boards just always come here! I'm going to check it out. Any more advice please feel free to post anyone! Especially about the Lazy Rivers!

SO and I are not really waterpark people, but last time we went to both typhoon lagoon and blizzard beach, I found typhoon lagoon to be less crowded and generally a more comfortable experience for us. I love the lazy river and could spend all afternon there. I seem to remember blizzard beach's lazy river as having much cooler water (this was during the summer) I am not sure if this is because of a cooling system or anything. I think typhoon lagoon also has tamer rides that your mother might be more inclined to go on. Whatever you choose have a great time!

Typhoon Lagoon for sure!!! We are going this week and taking my Mom with us. She is a young 58 and will enjoy the scenery at TL.

BB is more about rides and although it is a neat place to go, for a relaxing day I love TL.

Good Luck with your choice.:D

I am leaning towards Typhoon Lagoon because John, John-Cole and I did Blizzard Beach back in 1999 and we have never been to Typhoon Lagoon. With the shading I think that it just makes more sense. And swimming with the sharks has got to be cool!!

I will just have to agree with those who said Typhoon Lagoon for all the reasons they said. I find that one to be a better theme, tamer rides and the lazy river is SO MUCH BETTER than Blizzard Beach. We had done Typhoon Lagoon before BB and honestly we were almost disappointed with BB because TL spoiled us. JMO :)

Another vote for Typhoon Lagoon. . . I think the lazy river there is much better then B.B. , and it does have a lot more shade. . :D

Oh, and the shark thing is pretty cool. . . :D

Thanks everyone! Typhoon Lagoon it is then! I wanted to try it anyway and shade is a great plus!

Thanks for asking this, Beth. I've never been to either waterpark but we are going to do one of them over Labor Day weekend. It'll be 4 familes (8 adults, 7 kids) and I wasn't sure which would be best.

After hearing these opinions, I think we'll do TL as well. Less crowded sounds great to me, and the adults are going to want shade. And none of the kids are over the age of 10, so I'm sure the TL slides will be quite exciting for them!

I like Typhoon Lagoon a lot! I have never tried BB, and I don't intend to.....being blue-eyed, I am extremely light-sensitive......all that WHITE at BB with the sun shining and reflecting on it would probably burn my eyes right out of my skull

My son HATED Typhoon Lagoon. We got there and had what looked like a Typhoon hit after we were in the water for 5 minutes or so. We about froze to death! It terrified him (it was just a very bad rain shower). I wish we could've snorkled or done some more of the fun stuff, but when we go again, he's told me NO WAY.

Check to make sure TL is gonna be open before you go.:)
