The perfect scenario would be the DLH in the GCH location at PPH prices!
We like all three for a combination of the above. PPH pricing is good, the rooms are nice and bright, and we had a DCA view last time we were there which was awesome. I think our kids like the pool and especially the slide the best there too. DLH is just beautiful throughout, has Trader Sams, but I found the pool too cold and that was even when it was 100F. I've never felt as special arriving at a hotel as I did at the GCH, and our room was 120 steps from the entrance to DCA, and the balcony looked in to the trees by Grizzly River. But it was expensive!
On balance for the first trip, especially with kids, DLH would be the place to go.
