We are planning on going for a three nights after Christmas. Would love to stay at DLH, but can't justify spending the money with our first starting college the following year. We have 2 adults and 3 kids (18, 15, 12). We would like to stay somewhere within walking distance. What would you recommend? See a lot about Best Western, Candy Cane, and Howard Johnsons.

Desert Inn and Suites. C1 or C2 family suite. 4 Q beds 2full bathrooms (C2 has 2 full baths, C1 has 1 full 1 half bath.) Across the street. Book ASAP if ya want it.

I love the candy cane, but I wouldnt recomend it for a family of 5 unless you are willing to get two rooms. The rooms are small for the 4 of us, and our kids are still young.

My 2nd choice would be the best western park place. It gets good reviews, mostly because of the location. It is right across the cross walk.

If your family tends to spend more time at the hotel and really enjoys that part of the trip there are other hotels that get good reviews, a little further from the park. For our family being close is more important then what the hotel offers.
