I know that this has been asked before, but I hope that you will help me anyway.
We (my mom and me) are planning our 2nd trip to DLR. We are going for about 9-10 days in Feb/March 2013 and are planning on staying off site this time, since a disney hotel is out of the budget for this trip.

But there are so many off site hotels, that we don't know which ones to look at. We want one close to DLR, walking distance. It have to be 3 stars or above (we would prefer 4 stars) and we would like to get a suite with 2 bedrooms.
Which hotel would you recommend???
:)

Thank you for the link and the answer. I'll have a look at marriott. The suite is not that important, just something that would be nice.

We LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the Kids Suite at the Howard Johnson (HoJo)!!! Two full bedrooms, two full bathrooms, a king bed, bunkbeds (a hit with my 5 and 7 yr olds)and a pull out bed as well as plenty of room for a Pack and Play for our little guy. Best pool ever and easy walking distance. Super clean too!

I did a lot of research and both Hojo and Fairfield Inn were in the running, but I decided on Best Western Park Place Inn for my trip two weeks ago. I was really happy with the choice.

For walking distance, BWPPI is literally a cross walk away from the east entrance to the resort, so it is about as close as you can get.

I had a regular room, but the hotel does have suites as well.

Parking was an $8 charge per day. Breakfast was included and it was good.

I second Best Western Park Place Inn. It's literally across the street. It was nothing fancy, but the room was clean, big, had a mini fridge and microwave, housekeeping was great, and the breakfast buffet had a lot of options.

If you would like a suite with a kitchen (since your stay will be more than just a few days), I would look into the Marriott Residence Inn. It has a very good reputation; it is walking distance to DLR (a little further away than the hotels on Harbor, but doable if you are in good health); the ART shuttle stops there and at the hotel next door, so you can catch whichever shuttle comes first; the Residence Inn staff will do your grocery shopping for no fee and put the things away for you; and, the kitchen has a full size refrigerator.
