Which NY Airport Do You Prefer?

I am cheking fares on line...seems like the fares are similiar to fly out of LGA & JFK. Any preference on the airport..I saw someone said (on these boards) that the run ways were shorter at LGA...Is one better than the other? (parking, safety, etc.) what are your opinions? Thanks!

JFK is definitely bigger, but for me, I just choose whoever has the cheaper flight.

I have flown out of JFK and Islip as well. The first few times I went, I flew out of JFK because it was slightly cheaper; in doing so I had to inconvenience my family as they had to drive me and pick me up. When
you think about it, if you pay just a little bit more, you can just fly out of Islip. That is if you live on Long Island.

When traveling to FLA we fly out of LGA because flights tend to be cheaper. The airport experience is the same, however, LGA seems to suffer more from weather related delays. We were delayed 6 hours in July because of heavy rain.
