Which Nintendo DS Pokemon game is the hot one right now?

DS wants the "pokemon" game for the DS. There's the blue dungeon one and the ranger one. Which one is better? Any reviews? I don't want to ask DS because I don't want to tip him off that he may be getting it.

Also, any discounts out there on DS games?
