OK, I'll admit it. I'm am an obsessive planner. I am planning my trip for the first week in December and I can't wait for Disney to announce their hours and the Candlelight Processional details.

So, to get me through, I want everyone's opinions on who is their favorite Candlelight Processional Narrator.

I have seen Marlee Matlin. I love to watch ASL. I would love to see Gary Sinise. He has a great voice to go with those great looks.

I have the CD with Phylicia Rashad. I like her voice as well.

Tell me who you have seen and who you'd like to see.

James Avery was my favorite (Will Smith's uncle on Fresh Prince). He was so into the entire experience. He was just filled with joy.

Also had Cindy Williams (she filled in for someone else at the last minute), Gary Sinise (I liked him a lot) and Jodi Benson (voice of Ariel).

I can't wait for this to come out either. It wil be our first time and I really hope we get some as the reader that we know of.

We saw Phylicia Rashad several years ago-1998 I think?. We were so lucky-we happened to be walking past the pavilion and noticed something was going on. We asked the CM about it and she said if we waited we might get "fill in" seats-well, we waited and were seated for the show. Anyway, to answer your question, she has a lovely speaking voice and I wouldn't hesitate to see her again.

I liked Rita Moreno last year. She was much more "into it" than the others I've seen-Erica Dunlop, David Ogden Stiers, and Phil Donahue.

I saw David Ogden Stiers, he was pretty good. I REALLY want to see Gary Sinise. We're going down for my birthday, so hopefully he'll be narrating for that weekend!! *crosses fingers*

Jim Caviezel, Gary Sinese, and I think it would be cool to see John Stamos.

we went to watch John Stamos last year, and he was sooo emotional he actually cried during the narration! That was a really good show!

I think any of the narrators would be great just because they really pour their heart into their performance and they don't just narrate.

I've only seen Haley Joel Osmond (yuck) and Marlee Matlin who was awesome! I'd go see her again any year. My little sister sang in the CP last year when Marlee was the Narrator. They were in the back area and she said Marlee came in and was hanging out with all the kids and she was as sweet and nice and friendly as could be.

I saw Gary Sinese in 2000 - he was absolutely amazing. We had dinner at Le Cellier which was very good. The only downfall...it poured (even with a poncho, I was soaked to the bones). Besides that it was perfect!

We have seen Jaci Velasquez, Yolanda Adams and Ben Vereen. We got to hear Phyllisha Rashad and saw her from a distance, but the kids were young then, and we didnt know any better at the time exactly what it was. DUH.

Anyway, Ben Vereen has been the best we have seen. He really got into it. He reminded me of a preacher that was really into a sermon. He even ad-libbed a bit, but nothing out of context.

We've seen Sandi Patti (I hope I've spelt that correctly!) in 1999 and Gary Sinise in 2004 - both on Christmas Eve! :)

They were both great narrators! :goodvibes

We saw Levar Burton (Reading Rainbow & Roots) in 2004 and I thought he did a great job.

We saw John Stamos last year. He was great. He really got into it. He was very attentive watching the choir & orchestra. I would like to see James Avery as I've heard he is very good.

My favorite was James Avery, we saw him twice, he was a last minute substitute the second time, we were thrilled! He really got into it and his booming voice was perfect for the job.

CP was definitely the highlight of our trip. Harry Hamlin was great last year. It sounds like most of the narrators are great and really get into their part.

steven curtis chapman was very good :thumbsup2 , ertha kitt was very bad :sad2: .

Any idea when the EMH hours and narrators will be announced? This is our first time going and I want to plan well.

2004 - Gary Sinese - he was great - very into it and great voice!! 2005 - Jim Caviezel - he was not so great. Oh, his voice was ok, but he started out in Aramaic, which we found pretentious, and he added some adlibs about "The Passion", which we found even more pretentious.

We have seen Gary Sinise and he was wonderful and last year saw John Stamos on his last night...his childlike enthusiasm and awe at being asked to read made the night so special. Two different peope and two very different but both wonderful experiences.
