Which MP3 player?

It's time. DD16 has decided that he wants an MP3 player for Christmas. Not only do I know nothing about these little devices, but I would aslo like to get a good deal on one. Any recommendations about brand, size and cost? Also, where do you get your music from? And how?

I saw that Kmart will be having one for something really cheap like $20 on "Black Friday"
I bought my husband one last year, it was a Creative, which is inexpensive, I think I paid around $50 for it and he loves it. It's held up well and it serves all of his needs including the capacity to be used as a jump drive.

I'll be checking out black friday sales for a good mp3 player for my five year old. He's always stealing his big brother's.. so I thought I would get him one (I dont' think brand matters at this age) and preload it with his favorite songs (many many Disney songs) for Christmas, so it will be ready to go on Christmast morning.

One word of warning from parent of a teenager. Most teens will want an Ipod, nothing else will do. A different type of player may be able to all that an IPod can do and more, for less money, but the kids won't care. They want the Ipod. The bad thing is, that there are very few places to get much in the way of discounts on them.
