April, May, or June?

How is the weather there during that time? Would we need to bring jackets...I am used to, too the weather here in Hawaii which is usually in the 80s.

Are there any special activities happening during these times?

April, is spring vacation month.
June school is out for the summer
May seems to be the best month out of those months.

April and May generally have much nicer weather in So Cal than June. The latter is prone to "June gloom," in which the morning can be grey and even drizzly; late in June, the weather may begin to get really hot. Also, although CA schools aren't generally out until after the first or second week in June, school is done in other states and the summer crowds have started. I'd aim for the second half of April (after the week after Easter) or the first half of May. Starting in May, there's also an increased likelihood of running into grad night celebrations, which may close the park earlier or at least make it much more crowded.
