Which Monorail Resort?

Hi guys!

If you could choose, which monorail resort would you stay at and why is it your favorite?

Thank you!

The Contemporary is my favorite :) It's also pretty convenient that MK is only a short walk away (we walk in the mornings and take the monorail back to the resort). I also like that I can go right outside my room and be right in the middle of the excitement and the views from the rooms are awesome!

If someone else was paying an MK view room at the Contemporary. If I'm paying none because as nice as the resorts are and as convenient as it is to have the monorail I just don't see it worth anywhere close to what they are charging for any of the monorail rooms.

I normally agree with you that they aren't worth it but I found a labour day promo that worked out to a deluxe on the monorail not costing much more than a moderate.

BLT or Contemporary. I would go with BLT since it is an awesome resort. The pool & View is great! Contemporary looks more like an airport resort to me.

Well, you would almost have to force me to stay in one to start with, I stay in deluxe resorts when I go but stay in the Epcot ones. I have stayed in all three, mostly because the others weren't built yet and it was my only option. I'm not a fan of the monorail, it tends to stop a lot and if possible I take the boat. Having said that, I'd stay in the GF, my kid is grown and it has a little more relaxed atmosphere than the other two. I wouldn't mind staying in the WL, which I have not done yet but it's not on the monorail.

Honestly, this is a pretty tricky question for me...

Contemp: GREAT location wise, walk to mk super quick, easy to come back to during the day, Bay Lake Tower I really liked and friends have lucked out to get MK views. HOWEVER, the food selections, both sit down & QS aren't my favorites, and there isn't a whole lot of appeal to the decoration of it for me!

Poly: GREAT food choices, lots of TS and a great QS, not to mention Trader Sams & the Lapu Lapu's. Awesome pool too. Rooms are great, some of my favorites. Honestly one of my favorite resort stays I've had HOWEVER, I think it's WAY too overpriced for what it is.

GFlo: hands down my favorite to look at. Great food options, really cool pool, awesome bars/lounges. And walking into the main lobby is always magical. Rooms are standard, beds not as comfy as you think they'd be.

If I got a great deal, I'd do Poly, otherwise the GFlo! :)

Bay Lake Towers. Especially a 1 bedroom.

Hands down. Everything you want. Walking to MK, access to everything at Contemporary, monorail to multiple resorts including access to Epcot monorail. I own at BCV but love a split stay at BLT.

Did I say the 1 bedrooms are awesome?

The Poly is our favorite overall, but the GF runs a very close second (haven't stayed at the CR). Both have beautiful grounds, great restaurants (although the GF has a few more TS than Poly), and great pools. With that said, I don't think you can go wrong with any of them as they all have their advantages. I would choose the one that the theme/decor appeals to you the most. Good luck.

I love CR. BLT is nice also but I love the feel at CR. The shops and food options are nice and you are right next to MK. Having the short walk as an option is wonderful.

That is very convenient! You don't find the noise to be too bad at the CR?

Poly! They have the best food in my opinion and the easiest transportation to both Magic Kingdom and Epcot.

The noise never bothered us at all :) We were on one of the top floors, though, not sure if that makes that much of a difference. We stayed at Pop last time we went and found it to be noisier than the Contemporary if that helps at all... I know they're completely different though lol
