Which monorail resort?

Hi. My family (me, DH, DD3, DD1 and sister14) currently have a MK view room at CR Sep. 5-10. I'm having reservations (HA!) about staying there due to the construction, the lame Tempo Grab N Go, no real kiddie pool. PLus I was planning on renting a full size crib for DD1, but looking at pictures it seems the glass desk takes up prime crib space. The Poly and GF have zero entry pools and great theming.
But the new CR rooms look great and the monrail in hotel and walkway to MK are nice too.
The final thought is that at GF and Poly we would have garden view rooms; less expensive than the MK view and CR.
What is the best choice?
What would you do?

I have never stayed at CR...but I have stayed at WL and GF...the monorail is great for traveling with babies...folder and unfolding the stroller to collape on buses EVERY TIME you go to parks woruld STINK! I know you said that you could walk from your resort...but the monorail is awesome! I just LOVE the GF...but I have seen the WDW palnning video of CR and it looks beutiful!

I have no idea...I sure was a lot of help! Sorry!

I would keep the MK view at the Contemporary. We have had this type of room about 10 times and loved it each time. The smaller kids also like being able to see the castle and fireworks from the room. The monorail is very convenient. There is a nice playground for the kids and the pools are still fine.

Have stayed at all 3 resorts ..CR is very easy with a stroller, but so is the Poly. Being able to walk home from the MK is a huge plus, but it is not a 5 min walk, still, you'll likely be home before you get on a monorail.

If between Poly and GF - I love both resorts, but Poly would be easier with a stroller as you have the option of walking to TTC for a monorail to EPCOT or even the ferry to MK for something different (the Poly monorail is a quick 2 stops to MK)..or walk to the Poly monorail station.

If you choose the Poly be sure to request one of the newer buildings (built in the late 70's and early 80's) because the rooms are much larger and all floors have a balcony. Tokelau, Tahiti or Rapa Nui - all and easy walk to TTC and GCH (Tokelau is especially central). These rooms are 476 sq ft.

Of course, none of the resort rooms were designed with free wall space, so you'd still have to figure out where to put a full crib. A porta-crib would not work for your little one?

Hope this helps - a big decision, but do not think you'll be sorry with the Poly. The atmosphere is nice for adults and little ones because it is so relaxing. A CM friend told me that people who check into CR are more tense than those checking into the Poly - CR is more like a city, whereas Poly has that island feel. Interesting!

Hope you have a wonderful trip! :)

Do the Polynesian. From there you can also walk to the TTC to catch the Epcot monorail.

The Polyn was beautiful and the convenience of being able to walk to the TTC is unbeatable. The CM's were wonderful with the children at the pool hula hoop play time. Also, Kona Cafe's breakfast is a must do, for us at least.
