Which Moderate

I have friends staying at CBR in October. Looks like all the moderates are the same price. We are fans of POR and PORFQ. Was wondering anyone's input as the differences between these two (three, I really consider PORFQ part of POR) resorts. Pros and cons of CBR would be appreciated since we have not stayed there. This is there first trip to Disney and they are just picking off the website. Any suggestions for them.

Thanks!

Their party is 15 with kids from 1 to 12. Does that make a difference at either resort? Pools? Arcade? Food Court? How about Buses and wait time?

Thanks Again.

We have stayed at POR, CSR, CBR. CBR is our favorite but I don't think you can go wrong with any of the moderates.

You might want to read the CBR FAQ's listed below. They contain lots of great information. I also have lots of pictures of CBR on my website listed below.

:rotfl: We stayed at POFQ and POR(mansions) in November. Both resorts were great and POR had been recently renovated. We liked POFQ the best. The smaller resort made it easier to get around and it is the first stop for the PO resorts which made it noce in the mornings. We liked the pool better at POR but its a short walk from FQ and you can use it also. We have never stayed at CBR so I can't tell you anything about it. I have only heard it is very spread out. ::MickeyMo

We have stayed at all the moderates, many of them several times. During our trip to the Food and Wine festival last fall we decided to try CBR, as we had previously never stayed there.

First of all, let me say it is a beautiful resort, and is as well themed as any Disney property. It is a lovely place to stay. The food court is very good, and the service was excellent.

However, it is incredibly "sprawled out". If you are in the wrong section, plan on using your rental car for coffee in the morning! To give you an idea of just how spread out it is, I believe that this resort is the only one (other than Fort Wilderness campground) that has its own internal bus system. For this reason, we probably wouldn't stay there again.

I think this was the first moderate resort that Disney built, and they learned some lessons on resort layout from this one that were applied to the next generation of moderates.

CBR is our favorite resort. It has beautiful themeing and sandy beach areas. We like the variety of the food court and both the main and quiet pool areas. We have always had good bus service. When my daughters were littler, we stayed at Martinque, Building 25. But now that they are older, we like to stay at Jamaica, Building 45. To get to the food court and the main pool area, there is a very short walk over a bridge from the Jamaica. We wouldn't stay at any other moderate.
