Hi all. Adults-only (myself and DH) food & wine trip next year. Which moderate would you choose and why? TIA

Port Orleans French Quarter - smallest, quiet resort on property. Regardless of where your room is, you are close to transportation and food court. Only one bus stop. Can get to Disney Springs by boat. It is the "sister" resort to Riverside, you can walk to and use their amentities. Finally, beignets!!!!

POFQ. It’s our absolutely favorite moderate and close to our favorite resort overall (YC takes that honor). It’s very quaint and we like the boat to DS. It’s also a very small resort so getting around is easy. We also like that we can walk over to POR and use their pools/restaurants for a change of a scenery

French Quarter is our go to moderate now that it is just DH and I visiting WDW. Quiet, small, 1 bus stop, & boat to Disney Springs. Be sure to check the Swan and Dolphin, too. We are staying at the Swan for 5 days in October for F & W. I grabbed a great rate that even with the resort fee is cheaper than French Quarter. Since WDW now charges for parking, that is pretty much a wash. The prices at S & D had been really high and one day this great rate popped up and I booked it immediately.

Normally, I would say POR or POFQ because they are so close to Epcot and it's a quick ride over BUT after seeing the new rooms at the Gran Destino that's were our next trip will be. They seem to have a more deluxe/adult feel to them.

I would say Coronado Springs / Gran Destino Tower. We've not stayed in the Tower rooms yet, but they look really nice. Overall, a great resort with an adult feel

Another vote for POFQ. French Quarter is our absolute favorite moderate. Its small compact, everything is about 8 minutes away and only one bus stop to think about. We would be staying there next trip except I made the huge mistake of staying at AKL last trip and now my girls have decided that they are deluxe girls.

Throwing in another vote for French Quarter. If you’re looking for any kind of quiet walks around property or anything I would stay away from the Skyliner (I presume everyone will want to try out if staying there or not).

POFQ - simply the best - small, friendly and a great pool - only pool with shaded area in the water.

you're all selling me on POFQ.. but would you chose it over POP? It's about $400 difference and we aren't ones to stay at the resort all that much.

Normally, I would say POFQ, but I will try out the Gran Destino tower next month. On paper, it might be better for an adults only trip.
Last time we stayed at French Quarter this use to be my favorite resort but food court isn’t the best plus problems with room.
I am hoping to do Coronado Springs next visit.
I do like POP alot

Try CS

Where did you find your great rate?

I love French Quarter and it’s certainly my favorite, but if you’re going to be mostly at Epcot then I’d think about Caribbean Beach for the Skyliner.

Pop is great too. The new rooms are great and the Skyliner will make it less painful to get to and from Epcot.

It depends on what you want and what you’re willing to pay. POFQ is smaller and quieter. Pop is more geared towards families with kids, but it’s popular with adults too.
