hi everyone. i just booked por for july 30- aug 5. i'm very excited. i'm going with 2 friends from college. i have stayed at por and cbr before, but never csr or pofq. i think overall i would least like to stay at pofq so i booked por. i think we will be going to downtown disney a lot while we are there so i figured that would be best. however, i do no know if i should switch now. i hear great things about csr and i really liked cbr and the beach and the hammocks, but i liked the quiet pool areas at por better than cbr. i'm so confused. one of my friends will only be there for a few days and the other lives in australia (she is moving back to the states so that is why we are going on this trip) and it is very hard for us to get a hold of one another. i may just tell her to look them up on the website and have her decide. i know walking wont be a problem for any of us. i'm also concerned with bus waits and distances from the parks. can anyone give me any recommendations? thanks.

Sounds like you'll have a great time whichever resort you choose.

POFQ is my favorite, since it's so close to Downtown Disney and PI, and because the resort is so compact; nothing's more that 5 minutes walk to the bus stop.

POR is great too; boat to downtown, quiet pools, lots of shade.

Like I said, whichever you choose, I'm sure you'll have a great time with your friends!

We were there the last week in May and I can't say I would choose to stay there again, unless I had a very good rate to go with.
But if you are planning to go to DTD a lot, POR will be convenient. The boat service was very good while we were there. The bus service was terrible. But others have stayed there recently and had no bus service woes.
The bus service was our biggest gripe and the reason we would pass on this resort again, form our experiebnces that week.
Have a great trip! :)
