Which Moderate?

I have to say that last year with DS who is 3, was a blast. We can't wait to take him again. However, we decided this year we needed something for us. I've been given a hard time especially by coworkers about not taking him, but he'll enjoy our other trips this summer and winter just as much.

We have gone several without the kids, even when they were younger. Don't let anyone make you feel guilty. Your relationship with your DH is very important and it is good for you to get away as a couple.

Hammocks were also available at CBR when we stayed there.

I did not know that. Thanks for the info. Hammocks are great.

CSR has fairly new beds which are actually very comfortable and as someone else said the pool looks like it belongs in a deluxe resort.

If you like compact and flowers, POR is more up your alley. If you want a little oasis away from the hustle and bustle of Disney, I would go CSR.

I don't think you can go wrong with either picks. The Beignents at POR are great for breakfast.

DH and I are looking at upgrading from a value (All Star Sports) to a moderate for our upcoming trip in May. After taking a look at our schedule while there, we noticed we have a lot of free time. We'll be going without DS and enjoying some couple time. What is a good moderate to stay? Any special reason?

Thanks for your help!

POR would be great mod for a couples trip. The resort is very beautiful with lots of lush landscaping, the pools (one main pool and several smaller pools) are great, there are carriage rides at night, boats and bikes to rent, the ferry boat to DTD, a good TS restaurant and the best food court.

Since POR and POFQ are sister resorts, you can also go to POFQ on the ferry boat to listen to Elliot Dyson in the lounge, eat beignets, or swim in the POFQ pool for a little variety.

The resort has two themes, Alligator Bayou which is rustic and the Mansions section which is a little more elegant. POR is truly a lovely resort, and a great place to stay! :goodvibes

I've only stayed at CSR, but absolutely loved it. For us, it's important to be able to get decent food at the resort. When checking out the other food courts at other moderates, they just didn't seem as great as the Pepper Market. It IS big resort, so if you choose it...when checking in, see where they assign you to...you can always ask to be moved. that's what i did. I didn't get the EXACT location I wanted, but pretty close. We were a 1 min. walk to the main pool, 1 min. walk to bus stop and 5-7 min. walk to the center/check in/ Peppermarket.

And loved it. It's a beautiful place, not that crowded and it didn't take long to get to any park. The only down side for some is that it is a HUGE place, you can walk quite a ways to get to the main pool or Lobby/Restaurants.

But it is the only place I know of in Disney that you can lay on a hammock on a palm tree beach sipping a nice drink and not even think you are in Disney. It's a nice break from the hectic Parks.

It's our favorite. Port Orleans is nice, but CS takes it to another level for us.

I like all the moderates, but I like Coronado Springs the best for a few reasons. One, I think the grounds there are the prettiest. The lake in the early morning is enchanting. Also, at night, with all the lights strung along the walkway, it's quite romantic.

However, my main reason would be Pepper Market. It's hands down the best food court of the moderates.
