I've begun planning our next trip to WDW!:cool1:

We have stayed at ASMo and Pop, and I'm thinking I'd like to try a moderate, as we will have my mother coming along with us, so 4 in a room, Me, DH, my mom, and DS who will be just shy of 6.

My question is which one? Also, do the moderates have a fridge? They are all about the same price. We are looking at Dec 28-Jan 2nd, if that means anything.

Thanks for your help!

My favorite mod is POFQ. I love the theme of this resort and how wonderful the grounds look. They do have fridges. I also love that this is the only smaller mod. You dont feel like you have to travel very far to get anywhere. It is the first on and off for the bus stop which is a big plus!

My 2 fav or POR which we stayed at in Dec a few yrs ago and had beautiful xmas decorations.

I agree wth POFq or POR. Just not a fan of CSR (sorry I know many people are) and I have never stayed at CBR.

We love Coronado Springs! The pool is amazing the pools are beautiful, and love the theme. Also, the Peppermarket is great.

Have stayed at CBR twice, and CSR twice, only visited friends staying at POFQ. CSR is amazing-can't say enough wonderful things about the resort! The theming, the pepper market is the best food court out of the moderates, the busing at CSR was awesome. CBR was great-very nice tropical theme but we prefer CSR. Didnt care for FQ when we visited so we dont plan on ever staying there.
Have fun wherever you decide to stay! :)

CSR all the way!! Your 4 year old son will love the dig site pool and play area!! The Pepper Market has the best food>
We are DVC members and I use points to stay at CSR because I love it.

I've stayed at them all and have to say that time of the year . POFQ will be your best bet.

1st on and off the Bus will be great and the Boat to DTD is also nice.A quick walk ,bus or boat to POR if you want a resort sitdown meal.

The short walk to and from the room will also be good .

This is our Fav for the Mods and we stay if not staying on our DVC points.

I'm not big on the CSR as the conventioneers just seem to be fighting for space at the Peppermarket at the same times we seemed to be on our stays there. This time of the year may not be a big deal but for us it just ruined the Disney expeirence.

We stayed at CBR in Aug/Sep of 2007 and really enjoyed our stay.

The pool is currently being rebuilt so that will really nice to enjoy. The resort is large, but made up of small communities. There was a pool right near our room as every area has a "quiet" pool. We were in Martinique and it was an easy walk to both the bus and the food court area. The food court is large with plenty of good choices. There are hammocks, beaches(no swimming) and playground areas throughout as well as the walking path around the lake. It is a very pretty resort. Many say its well decorated durig the holiday too.

We found the bus service easy, never too long of a wait and the bus only serves CBR, no other resorts.

CSR! No shared transportation like POR/POFQ, best mod pool/slide and awesome food options. Check out my CSR website below for pics and info.

We love POR, the theming of the grounds and rooms make it our favorite moderate. We really liked the food court as well.

Another vote for the CSR. Staying there for the 7th time this September--this time with our best friends who have never stayed at Disney (actually the husband has NEVER been to Disney) to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary (and my DH gave me choice of staying at Polynesian...I chose the CSR because I love it).

It was our family's first time at WDW and we absolutely loved POR. Our standard room in Acadian House had a great view of one of the "quiet" pools. It was a quick walk over the bridge to the main pool and to the main building. Also the food was great at the restaurant (we had both a breakfast and a dinner there). The food court was busy but with good reason - lots of fresh fruit and baked goods for breakfast and, for a quick dinner, the "make your own pasta" was surprisingly good. Our family had a blast riding one of those surrey bikes and my DD loved the boat to DTD. We had no issues with buses although we did have to stand a few times during peak travel times. Also, I have to compliment the resort staff - not a frown or attitude in sight the whole week. I would stay there again without hesitation.

Thank you for all of your input. We booked POR. I just liked the look of it in the end. We will be there at the holiday's, and it looked like a "village" to me.

Truthfully, we are never in the room, but I just wanted to try something new. I want to stay everywhere!!! I'll save the deluxe resorts for summer though, when we don't stay all day at the parks!

We love POR, the theming of the grounds and rooms make it our favorite moderate. We really liked the food court as well.

Just got back from POR. We loved it.The mansions look like the old south from Gone with the wind. We stayed in the AB section. We loved feeding the ducks by the river in the morning and taking the boat to downtown.
