For you seasoned Dis'ers...which moderate would you stay at late November/early December? The pool is not the deciding factor during the time we will be there...so based on other reasons- WHERE? and WHY???

The DD's are going to be 8 & 9 in nov 05

Thanks
Brandy

The Port Orleans French Quarter.

It has a great water taxi if you plan on going to Downtown Disney, and the walks to the parking lot/bus depot and food court are much closer than other moderates.:D

::yes:: ::yes:: What she said.

CSR!! You didn't mention the ages of your DD's. CSR has 2 arcades and many activites to do at the marina. CSR offers many deluxe amenities as well. Check out my website below for many of the reason why we love it.

How old are your DDs? Mine loved POFQ when she was little. Then, when she turned 8 she became a POR girl. I understand the pool is not your deciding factor, but my DD (now almost 10) finds the POR pool much cooler. Also, she likes the playground area and fishin' hole at the POR. POR is also where you can rent surrey bikes, boats, etc. Personally, I hate arcades, but my DD likes the one at POR.

My neice is 12 and she loves POFQ because of the pool mostly, which you mentioned is not a big deal.

I love POR :) It's my favorite on-site resort so far. It's gorgeous. The transportation was great too.

My favorite moderate is CBR, but I wanted to make a suggestion:

Think about renting DVC points from an owner. We've done it a number of times so far (next trip to OKW is in about 10 days) and it's always been an awesome deal.

For about the same price (or less) of a moderate, you can rent a studio at OKW. With a studio, you get a much larger room, 2 queen beds (instead of 2 doubles), a kitchenette complete with a microwave, a dorm sized refrigerator, and a LARGE bathroom. They're like little condo's!

Although the studio's do not have washers/dryers, you have access to free full-sized washer/dryers, which are located near the pool areas.

Another awesome perk: you get the same benefits as a DVC owner, even though you're renting. One of the best perks....you are allowed to use the pools of almost all other resorts.

Think about it! The DIS boards have a points rent/trade site, where you can rent points from owners. Some owners ask about $10 per point, others ask a little less. Some will negotiate and give you the best deal possible.

French Quarter!! It's lovely, quaint for the adult, but fun for the kids and yoiu have the water taxi to Downtown Disney..

Now all you have to do if figure out from you;ve read which appeals to you most!

Have you looked at the photos on allears or this site??? Allears also has a fact sheet which is helpful.

You'll have such a great time!!:sunny:
