I've got a few DVC points I want to use up on a 3 night stay prior to our DCL cruise next September. A standard view room at any one of the moderate resorts is a a neat solution but I don't know which one to choose...

What are your thoughts???

I would go for POFQ or POR as it is near to DTD and you can get the boat there.

I read somewhere that Coronado Springs is more like a "Deluxe Lite" now, so it might be worth considering?

we have stayed at POR and CBR and we did prefer CBR. they are both lovely hotels but we did like the CBR more than POR.

hope you have a great time

POFQ is my fave, especially for a couple:lovestruc , it's romantic and quiet compared to others.we liked CSR but at lunch the conventioners arrived in force, suited and booted, rather makes your feel under dressed in flip flops and shorts.

We've stayed at POR twice and love it. Especially the food court, quiet pools, landscaping and the boat to DTD :)

We have stayed at POFQ and CBR. Would return to POFQ any time - loved it. Wouldn't go back to CBR - nothing really wrong with it, just too spread out for us.

Haven't stayed at any of the Moderates, Karen, but I have always loved the look of POFQ. Plus they have beignets - what's not to love :confused3

Have stayed at POFQ five times Karen, and have three nights there at Christmas to save on points. Its a lovely resort, not too big, lovely pool area, boats to DTD, we love it and can't wait to spend a few nights there again. The street names crack us up, Rue de Bagu, Cake Walk, Cafe Au Lait Way, but I suppose several margaritaas help and you have to be in our frame of mind to appreciate it LOL

Then it sounds like our sorta place, Jules! I'll ring MS tomorrow and see what's available for our dates - thanks guys... :goodvibes

I love Riverside
went to check out the rest one time but alwayed booked riverside

that was the only downside when we were buying into DVC that we wouldn't be going back to PORS
like it better then our home resort SSR but not enough to sale our points

we stayed at CSR this year for our wedding trip and the resort is so large, we liked it but would not go back really. Next eyar we have booked POFQ as it has really good reviews on here and we like the fact its smaller and we can get a boat to DTD

we alternate between a deluxe and moderate resort every time we visit. We were recommended POFQlast time and we loved it although i wouldnt upgrade to waterview as no real benefit due to no balcony to sit on.

We love CSR  - and they are now getting/have queen size beds the only moderate to have them :thumbsup2

We loved POFQ so much that we are thinking of booking next year. I went with the attitude of "I'm hardly in the room so why is it worth upgrading" but it didn't take long for me to appreciate why this is better than a value resort. Elliot Dyson in Scat Cats was great. I'm sure that Riverside is great too but I have one small niggle. I didn't like the way that the bus went all around the resort before it came to the main building. Some of the POFQ buses share with Riverside so it's a bit of a wait as it goes around the entire resort before arriving at the main buildings of Riverside and then POFQ

We stayed at CSR this summer and absolutely loved it. It is a large resort but the grounds are stunning, the hotel is lovely and the Pepper Market great for counter service food. Oh and the pool is the best! I have never wanted to stay at either POR or POFQ simply because of their location. I would like to try CBR though.

great stuff, now lets practice "Rue De Bagu, Cafe Au Lait Way, Cake Walk" I promise it gets funnier after a visit to the Margarita Bar at Downtown Disney
