Which moderate if you could not swing a deluxe ?

POFQ. Although I have never stayed there, I like that it is a smaller resort and easier to get around. The others seem so "massive".

I love when folks say things like this that have never been to a resort. CSR all the way! It is not as large as you think.

POFQ IS alot easier to get around ! As for sit down restaurant, POR is only about a 10 minute walk or a relaxing boat ride away. My dw and I just switched our December ressies from WL to POFQ so we can take a few more
trips sooner.We have stayed at POFQ twice before and like it ALOT better than CBR which we feel is too spread out and doesn't have that Disney feel !!

POR is my favorite! I didn't care for CRS at all.
I would choose a resort based on theming that appeals to YOU!

Wow - It's funny, but no matter what post I read, it always seems like CBR is the least favorite of the moderate resorts. I am staying there this August. I have already stayed at POR and really loved it. I wanted to try something new. CSR only had water views available with the dining plan and no AAA discount when I tried to book for the last week of August.

I really hope I will like CBR. Why don't people love CBR? Is is because it is so spread out? That doesn't bother me since I like spread out. But what is it???? Please tell me why people don't like CBR as much as CSR and POR?????

My vote is for the French Quarter (POFQ). we stayed 2 nights there last summer...loved it. The theming is perfect! Would stay thre again without a doubt.

We loved it there, and it would have been my first choice for this year, but it was already sold out. So we are trying WL!

For the moderates my family loved CBR. Great scenery, the quiet pool IS quiet. The room I thought was adequate for a family of 4, we also like the food court.

Don't worry! I think we're going to love CBR (I'll be staying there for the 1st time too).

With the addition of each mod, Disney added extras to the newer resorts. POR & POFQ got the boat ride to DTD and a unique southern theme. CSR got the amenities of a deluxe, without the deluxe price tag, and another "unique" theme.

CBR is the older of the mods, and as far as I'm concerned, that has its pluses (i.e., better-insulated walls & larger rooms). The theme of the property probably doesn't appeal to a lot of folks because it's not "unique enough." To some, it's probably just like any other typical Florida hotel. The grounds are lovely (I've only visited), and very peaceful. I can't wait to be there for a full week!

This year will be our first year staying at a moderate. I looked at all the info, researched and debated, debated a little more and decided on CSR. I think the only thing my family will miss with this resort is being on the monorail. A small price to pay for the free dining deal.
