..I say awesome choice !

I assume they have visited BUZZ2001's website, it is a great one and I have it on my favorites. I also like looking at the photos and map etc on http://allearsnet.com/acc/g_cs.htm so have them check there as well.

We have experienced Casitas and Ranchos, and loved the Ranchos. Not just for the style but the great location to the Dig Site and being alittle removed from the convention area. Casitas was nice, but was the more formal area and seemed to have more business folks. The DIG SITE is awesome, good pool, good slide, LOTS of seating - some with cover, great hot tub, fun playground, food right there as well as arcade. Kids loved it !

We enjoyed the selection and food at Pepper Market, and found the servings so large, we shared. Even my growing teen could not finish his calzone. Like the food availability at the pool and you could refill your mug there.

Lots of recreation activities, good location and bus service. I think they will have a super trip !

ps As a side note, our first visit to AKL, my husband fell in love with it and said, we would never stay anywhere else. So in May we returned. When we got in the pool he said "Where is the pyramid?" - back to Coronado we go :D

For smaller kids the value resorts can't be beat. I'd advise your friends to at least consider ASMo (the most popular based on kids choices) or Pop Century (newest and very highly rated).

If they are set on moderate, I would exclude CBR simply because it is their first time and the resort is SO spread out. It is very pretty and centrally located on the WDW property, but having visted there, you will spend more time getting from place to place within the resort.

I plan on staying at POFQ on a trip in the future. But that will be after my older two kids are out of college so we can use a room for 4.

I've only stayed at POR, and that was when the POFQ was under renovations. The pool area was awesome. The theming in the AB section was lush and beautiful. There were many recreational options, if one had the time, including bikes, fishing hole, carriage rides and campfire program (they were advertising this in November). There is a boat to DTD.

The transportation was spotty... good to Magic Kingdom but not so good everywhere else. I understand that the busses are currently shared with POFQ and that POR is the last stop. I'd drive.

The food court was great! I had no complaints and the kids loved to eat by the water wheel. We had breakfast at their sit down restauraunt. Service was great, there was no wait, and the food was delicious.

Also, there is a cheezy piano act some nights in their lounge.

I've heard that one's location at the Carribean Beach can make or break your experience. You might end up having to take an internal bus to get where you want, which is okay if you have a whole lot of time and patience. It's a huge resort.

And, I've heard that the prices in the food court at the Coronado is expensive, since they cater to a convention crowd.
