Which Mod Resort?

I'm trying to pick a moderate resort for my next trip in Dec. We have Deluxe people and Value people going, so we are trying to go in the middle this time. Since we are going in Dec. and only for 5 days, the pool isn't a big concern. But a nice atmosphere is what we are looking for. There are 5 adults and 2 kids 9 and 12. Can you give me your opinions on what moderate resorts you like best.

I love POR

however the CBR is very, very close to Pop Century - so you can stay in it and your value resort people could go with PC. (ask about the short cut - but be, very, very carefully- cast member use it and they drive FAST)

Am I understanding that the value & deluxe people will ALL be staying at the moderate this trip ??? If so I would lean towards CSR. It is newer, has a variety of styles within, good transportaiton.....it also has some additional amenties that the other moderates do not have to satisfy the business people, which make it alittle more "deluxe". BUT that all really depends on if you are going to hang at the hotel much. (kids will love their pool too, even in December)

My second choice would be POR. Beautiful lush resort with relaxed southern charm. You have the rustic or manor option, so that would give guests a choice.

For your mixed group I would choose the POR. I think it's the best moderate on the property for what it offers.

Boatwrights for sit down (great breakfast)
Carriage rides
Fishing hole
Free boat to DTD
Arcade for the kids
Bob the Piano Man at night in the lounge
Pool Bar
Beautiful landscaping and a great place to stroll
rabbits, turtles, and ducks
It's quiet and peaceful

CSR is perfect for your mixed group. CSR offers deluxe amenities for a mod price.

CSR has the best pool of all the moderates. The main pool area has an arcade, volleyball court, playgorund, snack bar and bar. The Dig Site also has a large 123 ft slide.

They offer a spa and gym for guests. The gym is at no cost. Room service is available as well which other mods only offer pizza.

The transportation is not shared like some of the other mods and is terrific.

Yes, CSR is a convention resort but so are the GF, Cont and other WDW resorts but yet CSR is the only to get a bad rap for being a convention resort. Those guests don't bother me and actually help since they are not at the pool or on the bus.

CSR offers watermice and other boat rentals along with surrey bikes and fishing equipment.

CSR offer internet connections in the room and WiFi at certain location thoughout the resort.

Coffeemakers in the room along with an iron and ironing board.
