We are hoping to finally head back to Disney next September (it's been waaaay too long!). We have stayed at POR and CBR and enjoyed both immensely, but it was a while ago. So I'm looking for more current opinions about each. I'm also considering POFQ. We visited it the last time we were there and I thought it was charming. My only concerns with POFQ are the pool and the small size of the resort. We're planning on a ten day vacation and incorporating ample pool time into the schedule. Given that, the pools at POR and CBR seem nicer.

Anyway, I'm looking for all sorts of opinions on these three resorts, ranging from the rooms (they've been refurbed since are last visit), the pool and other amenities, and the food courts. Give me the good, the bad, and the ugly. :)

Incidentally, for background purposes, our party is three adult Disney princesses, me, my mom, and my sister. We're a trio of big Disney kids!

I pick POFQ but if you had CSR on there, I would have chose CSR. Their pool is amazing! Pick a preferred location and it would be perfect!

I know it's not on there, but Coronado Springs!!! If I was going with my mom and sister for and adult girls trip, this is where I would choose. It is GORGEOUS, extremely relaxing, and has a bit more of an adult atmosphere in my opinion. Margaritas by the Mayan Ruins pool is the way to go :cloud9:

We have only stayed at CBR so that's what I voted for. We enjoyed our stay it there.

The good thing about staying at POR or POFQ is that you can use the other resort's pools as well. If you choose POR and get sick of their pools, you can hop over to POFQ and vise versa. That being said, I would choose POR just because they have more options being the bigger resort. The walk to POFQ isn't a long one, but not one I would want to do more than once a day.

Another reason I prefer POR over POFQ is the food court. POFQ has a small food court and even in September, it was crowded to the point where we had to eat in the lounge. No waits for a table at the POR food court during prime breakfast hour, since its so big. We also found the one bus stop at POFQ to get crowded quick. Lastly, POR has been more recently renovated that POFQ. Only by a year, but its still considered the newer one of the two. The new look of the AB rooms is really drastic and appealing.

POFQ is a nice small resort...but what makes it extra special is you can stroll over to it's sister resort POR if you want (or take the bus or boat) and use the facilities over there. We have stayed both places and enjoyed them both for different reasons in different ways. It's nice having the boat available for a ride to DTD.

I have stayed at all 3 locations, and this was a no brainer for me. I picked POR. With the recent redo, you now get queen beds as opposed to doubles, one of, if not the, best food courts on property, the boat to DTD, and a great relaxing theme with lots of activities. I didn't care for CBR because of the layout and food court and POFQ always felt kind of chintzy and cheesy to me with their themeing. Plus, POFQ pool isn't anything great, and while yes you can walk up to POR, do you really want to do that? We always say that we would walk down there and we never end up doing it. That's my 2 cents. Enjoy!

I think you should try something new and stay at POFQ. Especially since you liked it there and thought it was charming when you visited there. You can still use the POR pools & foodcourt if you get bored. It's a much smaller resort and only has 1 bus stop and is always picked up first on the bus. And that is the one thing I hated about Riverside was the bus issues. I love the theme of CBR the best but you have been there already and they still have full size beds. They do have the best pool of the moderates. Have you considered CSR? You can book a preferred room there. Anyway I voted for POFQ.

The mod I would pick is not on your list (CSR) and it is the only one we've stayed at. We have visited all three on your list a number of times and if we had to choose something other than CSR (although now we basically do DVC), my order of choice based on the rooms, the food, pool, etc., would be: POR-Riverside, POFQ and then CBR.

Hands down POR.

I love this resort.

Boat service is great to DTD.
I prefer the larger resort better than a smaller one.
Love the main pool as well as the smaller ones
Food court can't be beat

For adults only I would pick POR or CSR. CSR has an adult lounge that will have entertainment/music and a spa area, where as POR has family entertainment with Yeehaa Bob wednesday - saturday. POR does offer boat transportation to DTD and you can also rent a searacer or a surrey bike(for 4) or even take a carriage ride. It all depends how you want to spend your time at the resort.

POR just seems to do everything right. They are unbeatable when it comes to pleasing people. It is so nice since it has been redone.

Definitely ask for an Alligator room with the new Murphy-type bed. That way you can each have your own bed.

Enjoy! :goodvibes

I chose POFQ, because it's the one you haven't tried, and I'm all about trying new places!

Otherwise, I don't think I would pick CBR for 3 adults, because it's the only mod that still has double beds.

I'd go with POFQ simply because it isn't so big. Its easy to get around and if you find you do want more, you can walk over to PO.

U left the best one off...I Definetely would go with Coronado Springs.....By far the best Moderate...

I voted for POFQ only because of the ones on your list it would be my top choice but I really recommend CSR. It is by far the best moderate resort, especially for an adult only trip. The pool is awesome, the patio bar is great, the TS restaurant is great, ..... If you really want a choice from your list POFQ has the best night club (Elliot is so much fun) and the boat to DTD is really convenient. I'm not a fan of POR or CBR.
