2 Friends are going to MK all day and we planned to meet them at a MK resort for dinner, but where should we go?

We are 5 adult women. I was thinking Ohanas or Whispering Canyon-not into GF, maybe something at CR?

We found WCC to be a lot of fun!! The food was great and our server made the meal really enjoyable. You can just take the boat to the WL. It is a beautiful resort!

Hi,

My personal favorite is dining at the California Grill atop of the Contemporary and watching the fireworks (you have to book PS way in advance for this though and 30 min. before the fireworks start). Plus, CC has an indoor bar to hang out at. Just hop on the resort monorail from MK. But, if your looking for something more casual take the resort boat over to Wispering Canyon Cafe their skillet dinners are excellent! :)

Just my opinon...

O'Hana would be my pick. We just dined there on the 28th and the meal and atmosphere were wonderful. I loved the Polynesian theme and the Lapu Lapu's! We also had dinner at the California Grill, food was wonderful but more expensive than O'Hana. It was also incredibly noisy in there which I kind of wasn't expecting. I think we would have enjoyed California Grill more if our kids hadn't been with us, we were feeling guilty for having them inside the Contemporary but not at Chef Mickey's. For five women it would probably be more fun! I also love Kona Cafe but it doesn't have as much atmosphere, feels more like a hotel coffee shop and there were a ton of people standing around right outside Kona Cafe waiting to be seated at O'Hana. But its wonderful for lunch, espcially since O'Hana isn't open at lunch time so the surrounding area is more quiet and less hectic.

I will second Kona, it is not a fun place but the food is excellent. I also love O'hana. We will be trying WCC in 11 days

Depends on what you're looking for. If I wanted a quieter, more adult themed dinner, I would go with California Grill at the CR or Artist Point at the WL. O'hanas and WCC are more family oriented meals- there will be alot of kids present and activities going on. Not that there is anything wrong with that, we have enjoyed ourselves at all of these restaurants. It just depends on what you're looking for.

The Kona Cafe is arguably the best moderate meal at WDW. It would be my choice.

::yes:: We do not miss dining at Kona Cafe on each of our trips to WDW. The sticky wings appetizer is enough to share; they bring out a mountain of wings and legs, on a huge plate, and they are delicious! I can also highly recommend the beef teriyaki. (the shrimp in the picture below are an add-on for an additional price).

Your pictures look so wonderful, I can not wait to eat there in 9 more days

I've never tried Kona-I will have to give a go-maybe for lunch. We are going next weekend 1/20-1/23, so I don't think California Grill will be an option-but I will try anyway. Is there a bar at CG? 2 of our friends will be at MK and I am sure they will want to be in the park for the fireworks-if we could sit at the bar and wait for them until dinner maybe we would have a better chance at ressies.
I have been to both WC and Ohanas-but w/ kids. Liked them both. Thanks for the input!
