I was planning to take our 2 1/2 and 4 yr old to Chef Mickey for bkfst when we go in December but lately I haven't been reading anything too favorable about it. :scratchin They LOVE Mickey and gang and I think they'd probably enjoy the "character" part of meeting them probably more than Pooh and Friends at CP however I keep reading about how great the food is there at CP.

Should we just do CP instead of CM? I keep thinking "Hey we're at Disney so it's not like they won't get enough Mickey and Minnie while we're there!" Or is there another character meal with Mickey & Co that is better recommended in terms of food and interaction?

THANKS!!

We LOVE Ohanas for breakfast. They have Mickey, Stitch, Lilo and Pluto I believe. The food is so delicious. We eat here every trip- DH wants to eat her twice on our March trip!! I like it because it is served family style instead of buffet. You still get all you can eat, but dont have to worry about getting up and going to the buffet line- balancing plates and toddlers at the same time. Plus, you are always at the table when the characters come. They also have a conga line with the kids and give them musical instruments to play while they are conga"ing" around the restaurant with the characters. Its a lot of fun and good food all in one!!

We've eaten at CM several times and have always been pleased. We do prefer breakfast over dinner, though. However, dinner was fine, we just enjoy breakfast foods more in general.

We've eaten at CP (dinner) one time -- and there's reason why we only went once. No one in our party of 8 was impressed at all.

Best Mickey mingling is CM for sure. The food is not any better or worse then CP IMO

Note to the OP, CP is not a 'Mickey' meal. CP has Pooh, Tigger, Eeyore, etc. I did not have Breakfast at Chef Mickey's, but we did have Dinner and enjoyed it. We also would recommend Crystal Palace (Lunch) and 1901 Park Fare (Dinner). [Note: We were on the dining plan so we tried to eat breakfast in our room and save our dining credits for the more expensive meals at dinner (or the occasional lunch)].

If you force me to pick just one I will have a hard time, because we liked all three. Of course in that group of three only Chef Mickey's has 'Mickey.'

We did CM on our last trip for Dinner and we loved it. All the characters were wonderful and we had great interaction time with them as well. The food was very good and the dessert bar was awesome. We were thinking of going back for our March trip but for breakfast, but then we decided to try other character meals. Another Mickey character meal that we are going to try and I have heard that the character interaction and the food are both awesome is Donald's Breakfast Safari in AK. Like I said, this will be the first time trying this meal, but I have heard numerous of rave reviews. There is Mickey, Donald, and Daisy (only character meal with her, which my girls will be very surprised to see) and they do a parade with the kids. Whatever you decide have a great trip.

Here's another vote for Chef Mickey's. We've never had the breakfast, but we really enjoy the dinner.

:thumbsup2
