Which MGM?

I am looking at 50's Prime Time, Mama Melrose and Sci-Fi. Any suggestions?

Mama Melrose is one of our favorite WDW restaurants. We have eaten there once on each of our last 8 trips.

I havent eaten at your other choices, but my mother took my kids to Sci Fi last summer. The kids had kids meals and my mother went with a burger and they all enjoyed it.

50's Prime Time. It gets mixed reviews here but my family loves it. The pot roast, meat loaf and fried chicken are all terrific, exactly what you'd expect from "Mom's" kitchen. However, we've had several of their other entrees (steak, pork, etc) and all have been terrific also. The schtick is fun, although it gets old if you've been there several times, as we have. We just keep going back for the food.

We haven't been to Mama Melrose, so I can't give any info here, although I'd like to try it some time (if we can just stay out of 50's PT!). My sister took her family to Sci Fi and says "NEVER AGAIN!" Apparently the food is grossly overpriced and quality is mediocre to poor. Seems to be the general opinion of Sci Fi here on the boards. If it was my choice, I'd eliminate SciFi and then flip a coin to decide between 50's/MM!!

We enjoyed the banter at Primetime very much! Also, the food was good "comfort" food after eating alot of more junky type foods. My husband particularly liked the scifi, we have not eaten at Mama's. You should know that many reviewers say sci fi is ok for lunch but not so good at supper.

Since my hubby only had one request for the whole trip, we will be lunching at Scifi

Lunch? Dinner? $? If your trip counter is right and just the two of you, you might also want to think about Brown Derby, had some great meals there. I can vouch for that and 50's prime time although that might be more fun with the kids, but that didn't stop us, we had a good time and meal.

We will be trying MM ourselves next trip as i have read good things, the opposite is true of SciFi but haven't been to either.

another postive request for consideration for BD( really great meal for lunch there last time), another blech never again for sci fi( 2 hrs wasted stuck in close quarters with strangers in an empty restaurant so no reason for the wait or being crammed in a car with strangers for a so so burger burnt way beyond well done and fairly good popcorn soup but atmosphere not worth 2 hrs of park time ,,,had a ps for 3:00pm for 2 in early January btw) didn't do primetime last time but it was good if a little pricey when we went before..never done MM

We love Prime Time Cafe and go there every trip (twice last trip). It's a fun place and we like the food. Ask for cousin Mark!

We eat at Prime Time and Mama Melrose every trip. Ate at Sci Fi once . . . IF you're choosing one, I would go with Prime Time b/c there's no other place like it AND has good food.

I highly recommend 50's! I love it...one of my favorite places in WDW...good food in a really fun atmosphere...we've never been disappointed there. Never been to MM but would like to try it sometime. We did go to Sci Fi and I don't think we will be returning. Food was way overpriced and medicore at best. Also, we went with my sister and her fiance and because of the set-up of the "tables" they were sitting behind us in the car so we could not have conversation with them. It was our first time there so we didn't realize that the set-up was the way it is....good luck with your decision....

We have eaten at both and had good experiences. For something a little more relaxed, go with MM. For the fun and good food, PT. I guess it just depends on what kind of mood you're in and what it is you like to eat.
