Hello! My DD (age 4) and DSis and I are going to Disney World December 13 to December 22nd. :santa:

This will be an all-girls trip and a special treat for DD. Which restaurants do you think would provide the best food for us and a fun experience for DD?

:goofy:

Day 1: Liberty Tree Tavern Dinner OR Crystal Palace Dinner?

Day 2: Garden Grill OR Tokyo Dining Dinner? (both are CP packages)

Day 3: Hollywood & Vine Breakfast OR Mama Melrose Lunch?

Day 4: Tuskerhouse Breakfast OR Yak & Yeti Lunch?

Day 5: Coral Reef Lunch OR Teppan Edo Dinner (CP package)?

Day 6: Akershus Breakfast OR Le Cellier Lunch?

Day 7: Whispering Canyon Breakfast OR CRT Lunch?

Day 8: Akershus Breakfast OR 1900 Park Fare Dinner?

Day 9: We have scheduled the Sunrise Safari Breakfast at Pizzafari, and we will probably stick with counter service at Mara (and/or concierge snacks) for the remainder of the day.

Happy Planning!:goodvibes

I am just going to have to make the assumption that you are on the dining plan. My only concern is if you are, there are a lot of breakfasts and that isn't the best value (money-wise) for the DDP. I also hope you at least have some of these ADR's made already since it is free dining and a holiday time.:)

Day 1: Liberty Tree Tavern Dinner - Last chance to do the character meal there.

Day 2: Garden Grill

Day 3: Hollywood & Vine Breakfast - Because you have a 4 year old.

Day 4: Tuskerhouse Breakfast

Day 5: No preference here.

Day 6: Le Cellier Lunch

Day 7: Whispering Canyon Breakfast (because CRT is 2TS, Akershus is a much better value)

Day 8: Akershus Breakfast - 5 princesses plus photo package for 1TS

I would call ASAP and secure your ADR's as most folks book 180 day in advance, so hopefully you can still get what you want. given that your DD is 4, I would think about adding a meal at the Castle, although it may already be sold out, since it is very popular. Anhow, here is my 2 cents. Enjoy whatever you decide:
Day 1: Crystal Palace Dinner (Can't miss Winnie the Pooh)
Day 2: Garden Grill OR Tokyo Dining Dinner? Neither I'd do Teppan Edo
Day 3: Mama Melrose Lunch
Day 4: Yak & Yeti Lunch
Day 5: Coral Reef Lunch (your DD will love the fish tank)
Day 6: Akershus Breakfast (it's in a castle, so next best to Cindy's Castle)
Day 7: CRT Lunch (neither, I'd pick Kona for lunch or O'hanas for dinner)
Day 8: 1900 Park Fare Dinner

Day 1: Liberty Tree Tavern Dinner OR Crystal Palace Dinner? We have never done dinner at either (we've done lunch at LTT and breakfast only at CP) -- I'd say LTT

Day 2: Garden Grill OR Tokyo Dining Dinner? (both are CP packages) Can't help here--haven't done Garden Grill in over ten years and never done Tokyo

Day 3: Hollywood & Vine Breakfast OR Mama Melrose Lunch? Mama Melrose in a heartbeat. I know you have a child, but I would not recommend H&V to my worse enemy, well maybe my worse :lmao:

Day 4: Tuskerhouse Breakfast OR Yak & Yeti Lunch? We loved Yak & Yeti for lunch

Day 5: Coral Reef Lunch OR Teppan Edo Dinner (CP package)? Coral Reef

Day 6: Akershus Breakfast OR Le Cellier Lunch? LeCellier

Day 7: Whispering Canyon Breakfast OR CRT Lunch?Have never done CRT, but we won't be going back to Whispering Canyon anytime soon--although I'm sure breakfast has to be better than dinner--DH got sick on the skillet at dinner

Day 8: Akershus Breakfast OR 1900 Park Fare Dinner? We did lunch at Akershus, did not like it; I understand breakfast is more American food; we've never done 1900 Park Fare Dinner (we are trying breakfast next year)

First of all, I have to tell you that my son Max and I will be at AKL the exact same dates as you!!! Cool.

Day 1: Crystal Palace Dinner

Day 2: Tokyo Dining Dinner

Day 3: Hollywood & Vine Breakfast

Day 4: Yak & Yeti Lunch

Day 5: Coral Reef Lunch

Day 6: Akershus Breakfast

Day 7: CRT Lunch

Day 8: 1900 Park Fare Dinner

Have a Magical Trip!!!

O.K. here goes:

1. LTT as this will be one of the last times to eat with the characters!!!!
2. Garden Grill
3. Hollywood and Vine (cause she's young enough to enjoy it!)
4. Tuskerhouse breakfast
5. Coral Reef Lunch (kids love looking at those darn fishies!)
6. Akershus breakfast perfect for a little princess!
7. WCC cause you already did the princess thing at Akershus and it is a better value.
8. 1900 Park Fare Dinner

Have fun!

Please call for ADR's ASAP.
Many people do not realize how far in advance reservations are made. Many folks book the popular restaurants 180 days (6 months) in advance.
Even though December may seem like it is far away, you may very well find that some of what you want is already completely booked.
Call Today and Good Luck!!!

Day 1: DEFINITELY LTT, since this will be your last chance to see the characters there
Day 2: Garden Grill
Day 3: must be one of the rare few who likes H&V, lol! You could try to go for the Playhouse Disney meal, unless she's not fond of those shows
Day 4: If she's into characters, I prefer the Tuskerhouse breakfast (but food's better at Yak and Yeti
Day 5: Coral Reef, much more fun
Day 6: Akershus breakfast
Day 7: CRT lunch
Day 8: 1900 Park Fare

Thanks to everyone! This is a tremendous help!

I already have all of the ADR's. Technically, I could keep them all as we are splurging on the deluxe dining plan. I am trying to make room for a couple of signature restaurants, though, and I didn't know which ADR's to let go of.

(For signature restaurants, I was thinking of Jiko's. We will be at the AKL, and it seemed like a wonderful place to try. And maybe, we might try California Grill or Flying Fish. I just wasn't sure.)

Thanks again! Any more words of wisdom will be greatly welcomed.

p.s. At the Candlelight Processional, does anybody know which presenter might be more enjoyable for a 4 year old to watch?

Day 4: Tuskerhouse Breakfast OR Yak & Yeti Lunch? TH breakfast:love:

Day 5: Coral Reef Lunch OR Teppan Edo Dinner (CP package)? Teppan Edo

Day 6: Akershus Breakfast OR Le Cellier Lunch? Hmm... tough one...I'm think it depends on how many other princess meals you end up with...

Day 7: Whispering Canyon Breakfast OR CRT Lunch? CRT lunch- there's not many times in "real life" that you can eat in Cinderellas Castle!

Day 8: Akershus Breakfast OR 1900 Park Fare Dinner? 1900 Park Fare
