We did a 4-night in 1998, so we've done all four restaurants (though the menu's have changed since then). I was going to skip Palo on our 3-night this coming January, figuring we've done it and don't need to do it again -- don't get me wrong, we LOVED it there! My husband, however, quickly changed that -- he wants the chocolate souffle. I couldn't possibly eat two meals in one night, so we're in the same boat -- trying to decide what to skip.
We were on the Magic in 1998, so I really want to eat at Triton's (HUGE Little Mermaid fan here!). So we're debating between Parrot Cay, which has fantastic food, and Animator's Palate, which has the great "show". It's a tough call. We've decided to let the menus decide! I'm not fussy at all so my husband is going to check the menus of PC and AP and decide what to skip from there.
Basically, you'll get to dress up at Palo, so if you skip Triton's it's not the end of the world. While the "show" is neat at AP, a great meal somewhere else would probably give you better memories if you aren't going to enjoy the food at AP. And Parrot Cay has great food, but there's nothing extra special about the restaurant as a whole. And you could eat at Parrot Cay or Triton's one day for breakfast or lunch if you skip the dinners. So I say, let the menus decide! Read all three and pick the two you like best!
