Which Marriott resort in August?

My parents are very generously allowing us to pick the time share we use for our August trip (2006). Their home resort is Marriott's Grande Vista. We have stayed with them there twice before. Both of those trips were in May. We loved it there and found the drive to WDW very easy.

We can't go in May next year, so we are trying out August. How is the drive from the Grande Vista area in August?

Where would you suggest we stay for an August trip?

there are closer Marriott timeshares to WDW.

but they are older.

I would for a change go with Marriott's Cypress Harbour. It gets the best reviews of any of the Orlando Marriott's.

the ones closer to WDW are - Imperial Palms, Sabal Palms and Royal Palms - all are at the Marriott World center.

Thanks for the information! I will look at the Cypress Harbor. My kids are saying that we should go back to the Grande Vista, so I guess they really like it there.

Anyone driven from the Grande Vista in the summer months?

Yup, not a problem at all. We go down to the Grande Vista every late June or July and have never had an issue with traffic going to Disney using 536 going past the Marriott World Center.

Great! Thanks for the response. I think we are going to go with the Grande Vista, since that is what the kids want and it's the "home" resort.

We stayed at Cypress Harbour in May and August. Loved it both times. Ask for rooms near the lobby, these are renovated and convenient.
