Which lounge?

I'm looking for a nice, quiet place at the world to have a well-poured drink and some nibbles. Quiet is probably the most relevant part, I'd like to be able to sit and sip a drink or two in an hour without feeling hurried along. I don't mind music or entertainment, but would rather not have hubbub and will actively avoid a crush of people. Bar, table, chair, patio, hammock, I don't care where I sit much.

As far as drinks go, I'm a traditionalist. I might want a negroni, or an aviation, but I'm usually content with bourbon and soda or a neat single malt. No glowing, X-fusion "martini" with no gin.

I'm looking for nibbles (a max of an appetizer or dessert), not an entree, and I'm perfectly content to have my drink at off hours to maximize the "quiet" aspect of my quest.

Can I find this on property?

Most lounges at the deluxe resorts should be good. For some entertainment try the Scat Cat Club at POFQ.

For that I would choose the Territory Lounge at WL (may be some noise from WCC but it's a bit removed from there), the Crews Cup Lounge at Yacht Club, Mizners at GF, the bar at the Wave (Contemporary) or the bar at Sanaa (AKV). Bellevue Lounge at BWI is lovely but does not serve food.

Resort lounges that I would avoid under your specifications: Tambu Lounge (Polynesian - too close to 'Ohana), Outer Rim (Contemporary - too close to Chef Mickey's), Victoria Falls around dinnertime (AKL - too close to Boma)

Top of the World at Bay Lake Tower would be perfect, but you must be a DVC member and be staying there to get in.

Based on your request, I suggest you try the Belle Vue Lounge at BWI. I've found no lounge as quiet or stree-free as Belle Vue.

Most of these lounges are noisy. I'd go to the Swan Dolphin lounges.

I also recommend the Sanaa lounge at the Animal Kingdom Villas. I've never known it to be noisy or crowded, the bartenders are knowledgeable and personable, and they offer Sanaa's appetizers and desserts until Midnight. I see that others are recommending the Belle Vue Lounge in the Boardwalk. It's a lovely place, but they do not serve any food there, so you would have to find your nibbles elsewhere.

For quiet lounges I would go with the Bellevue lounge over at the boardwalk you will be able to get drinks but no food if i remember correctly the lounge at the Grand FLoridian is also quiet as well but again I dont think you can get food. The lounge at the wilderness lodge is a little noisier but you can get food there.

From what I understand you can order appetizers from Citricos at Mizners Lounge (GF). Bellevue Lounge does not serve food.

i had a drink in the crew's cup lounge at the yacht club this past november, and it was blissfully quiet. the bartender was great, and the food going out looked heavenly though i wasn't there for the food. you could also enjoy the rocking chairs on the walkway pre- or post- drink. additionally, yachtsman is right next door, so i don't see why you wouldn't just add dinner there to your itinerary. you could do all of this after a day at epcot, and then take a cab back to wherever you are staying. MAN that sounds like a great night...i just may need to do the same thing on my next trip! :goodvibes

Crew's Cup Lounge at YC is very nice. Serves good appetizers too.

Belle Vue was 1st to come to mind for quiet, but with food... You can try Victoria Falls @ AKL for drink & food BUT you may want to find somewhere else in the lobby to sit. Or there is a bar @ Sanaa @ AKL Kidani which seemed quiet.

Food isn't served in Victoria Falls either. It is also situated above Boma, which is noisy.

They do have spiced nuts at Victoria Falls for a charge. I haven't tried them, but I've heard good things. I agree that it doesn't really fit what the OP is looking for at all, though. I like Victoria Falls, but it's noisy and often crowded.

Yes they have nuts, but that is not what the OP wanted.

I don't go to Victoria Falls since they refused to take my TIW (and that was a few years ago).

Another vote for Crew's Cup to fit what you are looking for.

Also have enjoyed drinks at Mizner's but not sure if they serve any food, although previous poster reports they do so that would also be a good choice.

I'm happy with Crew's Cup Lounge. I haven't tried their food since they changed their menu a year or so ago, but I would get a burger there if that was what I was in the mood for.

Someone mentioned Swan/Dolphin. I think the bar at Todd English's bluezoo™ is a heckuva great place to eat and drink. Il Mulino is good, as well. And Kimono's is quiet if you go a couple hours before karaoke starts, and you want a good sushi fix.

I agree, though I think the music is just a notch too loud to really fit the atmosphere that the OP is searching for. Elsewhere in the Swan and Dolphin, the Cabana Bar has some great sandwiches if outdoor bars are a consideration.

Blue Zoo does have an excellent bar/lounge--but I can't say it's super quiet.

Shula's also has a nice longe/bar. They have Sinatra music playing in the restaurant itself, but for the life of me I can't remember if it's hear-able in the bar!!!

The only possible problem with both spots is meetings/conventions. Dolphin is such a hotel and if there are meetings, etc the bar and lounge areas can quickly fill with loud expense account types.

Absolutely. If the OP doesn't mind eating outdoors, a nice seat at the covered Cabana bar would be a great option. The food there is a pretty good and interesting Caribbean spin on pub fare and they have a full stock of liquors and specialty drinks. They also have a couple of draft beer selections that you won't find anywhere else in WDW.
