I am traveling to the Fort in November with my entire family of 16! My grandfather can't walk far distances. Also, we have 4 small children. We need to stay somewhere near a bus stop if possible. I've stayed at FW several times but I can't remember which loops are which. :)

Or you could try this map, it loads a little faster, but the pdf prints better.

There is no guarantee that you will get a requested loop. It may be best to make your needs known, and then state your loop preference. They will do their best to put you near the front of a loop or near the comfort station etc.

It also depends on what type reservation you have, full-hookup, preferred or premium.

If you're looking for a full hookup site, we stayed at one behind the bus stop on the 1600 loop last summer and it was great. The bus stop was close but not too close to cause any issues. And the comfort station was just a few campsites away. I hope this helps - good luck with your planning!

16? Wow, that's a lot of folks. Are you looking for multiple sites?

We stayed in Premium Loop 1400 with our Golden Retriever. Very close to bus stop. Very close to main pool. Very close to dog park. Walking distance to restaurant and ferry boat ride.

Not meaning to interfere, but should you consider an ECV for the grandfather? If you're going to the parks some form of mobility sounds like a must.

It also sounds like multiple sites since sites have a 10 person limit.

Just meddling. :goodvibes

We really seem to like the 300 loop. It's close to evrything. Trading post, playground, dog park, bus stop. And it's next to the canal where one can always see plenty of disney deer, rabbits and armadillos. Being from Miami, we get very excited to see that. Let's not forget the fishing.
