Just for curiosity which cruise line is most like DCL? Since I have never cruised aside from DCL with my first and only cruise I would like to see what the prices are for other lines :)

We have done 14 cruises (RCCL, Carnival, NCL & Princess), and none with Disney. We are DVC members so I don't even think of Disney as a "cruise vacation".
It was nice to see Disney is most like RCCL, which is my favorite cruise line.
Since we don't have children, I am always afraid that the Disney ships will be over run will children running everywhere. I have been told this is not true, but have not been brave enough to spend a week held captive on a floating resort with no way out.
Maybe some day we will try it.

I would say try it but do the 4 night since the 3 was too short IMO. They have an adults only section as well as clubs and stuff. Especially being DVC members you will feel tyhe magic but it is different. I would definitely say that a Disney cruise is a totally different experience than WDW. But it still has magic.

Cruised Paquet, NCL, RCCl, HAL and Disney.

NCL and RCCL were great, just a hair below HAL and Disney. I really feel HAL and Disney are premium cruises, which is why they both are more expensive. But I would cruise NCL and RCCL anytime also, although NCL's freestyle dining arrangement doesn't thrill me. My mom loves it though, and she also has had good experience with Celebrity.
I might be reluctant to cruise Carnaval, just because it appears they are a little too informal for my tastes. I'd love to try Princess, they really have gone upscale from where they were in the Love Boat days.

Paquet was another world altogether. Very formal, tuxes REQUIRED on formal night, and nothing at that time for kids....since there were just 3 on the ship.
