I was just wondering which dances they do during the different deck parties? My DD8 is the life of the party but I don't think she knows any of the line dances ( The electric slide etc..) So I want to make sure we practice them so we can join in on all the fun.

TIA:goodvibes

My DD age 10 knows it very well. I just told her about them possibly doing in on our cruise and she put on a BIG smile!

We did the Cha Cha Slide alot onboard. This is one of my DD's favorites. I bet your DD knows it, too.:thumbsup2

BEGIN DANCE AGAIN

i think whatever they do, they sort of teach the guests or demostrate what they are doing in the beginning. but the cha cha slide has all the directions in the song right?

Though directions are in the song, I think it is easier to learn how to do the Cha Cha slide before you go especially for kids. My GK's have the song on their iPods from the a Disney CD and love to do it all the time.

Just my thoughts....

Geezz.. am i the only person that thinks those slide directions are confusing?! I must be getting old... LOL.. I need to SEE it done.. I am very visual i guess.. LOL ;)

Here are two videos from Youtube.com showing people doing the Cha Cha Slide, it's really simple and I think once you "see" it you'll have no problem following along...=o)

Don't forget YMCA

YMCA" is also the name of a group dance with cheerleader Y-M-C-A choreography invented to fit the song. One of the phases involves moving arms to form the letters Y-M-C-A as they are sung in the chorus:

Y - Arms outstretched and raised
M - Left hand on left shoulder, right hand on right shoulder
C - Arms extended to the right
A - Hands held together above head

I thought the same thing, wow, girls, get some kid appropriate clothing on....lol. And wow, some of the get funky, moves...yes grounded for life! But it was one of the only ones that clearly show the moves. lol

Also did...
Cotton Eye Joe
Electric Slide (old and new versions)
Hustle (70's night)
We're All in This Together (from HS Musical)

We went to a wedding this weekend. We had a great time, but the dance parties on the Magic were more fun than the typical wedding dances!

I thought of another one - not really a line dance but

"The Chicken Dance"

Do they do 'Saturday Night' and 'The Macarena' on the cruise? Those two are good fun! :D
