Hi! I'm trying to decide when to take a late November trip. Hoping the week after Thanksgiving won't be too busy. Looking at flights and the five day span I have to work with, I'm trying to decide if it'd be better to go Saturday (Nov. 25) to Wednesday (Nov. 29), or Sunday (Nov. 26) to Thursday (Nov. 30). Looking at Thrill-Data info, it seems like the Saturday following Thanksgiving last year was really busy, but that most of the week after Thanksgiving was nice. If I started the trip on Saturday, I would maybe go to the park in the evening for a bit, but hope for less crowds on the following days. With my schedule, I could take a late morning/afternoon flight on Saturday, and any park time that day would be a bonus, then have all day Sunday through Tuesday, and most of the day on Wednesday, with an evening flight back (that would require leaving the park at 5 or 6PM). If I went Sunday through Thursday, I could take an early flight and get to the park by 11ish, but with my schedule I would have to take an early afternoon flight (leaving the park around noon) on Thursday for the return.

Basically, would you rather have the full day on Sunday (Nov. 26) or Wednesday (Nov. 29)? I would have to fly back earlier on Thursday than I would on Wednesday, but it might be worth it to have the full day on Wednesday instead of Sunday.

Thanks for your opinions!

It looks like MK reservations for Sunday 11/26 are already gone for DCA (at least at this time.) Most MKs are blocked on Saturday. I would think Saturday may be less busy than Sunday with just that info in mind?

So with that I would do the Sunday to Thursday. And have the full day on Wednesday.

I will be there 11/28, flying in early morning and going straight to park, through 12/1. Generally, it seems Sundays and Mondays are not as busy, but with it being a holiday weekend it's hard to say how that will affect it. I've seen a lot of people who will be there that week, so I don't see the weekdays being much less crowded.

Are you interested in Incredicoaster and Indy? They will be closed starting Monday, 11/27. Incredicoaster opens Saturday 12/2 and Indy opens Friday 12/1. Are you interested in any entertainment/shows? Check those schedules. Have you looked at hotels for availability? That might answer your question, lol.

I'd lean towards what gets me more park time, what's cheaper, what has more available. What ever you decide, have fun!

Do you care about seeing fireworks? Those only happen on Friday, Saturday, Sunday (and can be canceled due to wind and/or other weather).

Mondays are absolutely the busiest day of the week. Saturdays and Sundays are less busy than Mondays.
